I just want to comment about one photo, as an Israeli it made me laugh as hell.
In one photo, the one you said “But if you think the pro-Hamas Jews were naive, what about the gay protesters who were there opposing Israel (and by default thereby aiding Hamas)? Are they even aware that under the Hamas regime, gay Palestinians, should any be foolish anough to make themselves known, are executed?”
in the hebrew writing there’s a typo in every single word(not there are so much words anyway).
you can obviously tell this guy isn’t Israeli and his Hebrew level, even if he’s a jew is very vey very poor.

Nice job of reporting and getting photos of what really goes on at these events. Keep up the good work zombie

The professionally-printed signs look exactly the same as the ones used in the demostrations in London. The printing bill must be tremendous – to say nothing of storage space, distribution points and trained personnel to make sure the right collection of signs are being given out in the best areas for publicity.
I wouldn’t be surprised if a few bucks were passed out to make the size of the demonstration newsworthy.

I was happy to see you reporting on this protest. I don’t regularly read your rants, but a friend sent it over for me to look at. It seems you have a spin for everything that is your prerogative, however it makes your reporting seem ignorant and crass. I was especially amused by the fact that you find no middle ground and feel the need to assign negitive political associations to everyone. Truth be told there are wrongs commited on both sides of every conflict and I suspect you already know that. It may be possible for some people to abhor the treatment of the people in Gaza and still support the Jewish state? Also, considering the conditions and treatment of the people in those areas … a concentration camp analogy isn’t too far off. Obviously many of the protesters were retards none the less they do have a legitimate gripe if and when innocents are killed.

Great work as always Zombie! I gotta admit, it was mind numbing to view though. I got about 2/3 through the pics and captions and I had to just kind of skim the rest. That much asininity is just painful to watch.

Thanks for putting yourself through that.

I’ve often thought that the best way to counter left wing ideology…is to let people know about left wing ideology. Another fantastic report by zombie does that in an extremely entertaining way. Keep up the good work!

Note: FreeRepublic.com also has a report from a similar Washington DC protest.

The best thing about Zombie is his LACK of rants. His comments are merely observational. You just don’t like the fact that he’s infiltrated the left and exposes them (and I guess, you) for what they stand for: Violence, Communism, Moral decay,….among others.

If someone from Oklahoma were to view these photos without knowing where they were taken, they’d think it was Beirut.

Zombie is my hero. Nothing speaks louder than photos from someone who is there.

Greg, go get a sex change buddy. The Arabs, as a last ditch effort love to promote the image of two equally insane warring lunatics. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Hamas is the bad guy, and the Palis tolerate and/or promote them. Israel cooperates with us and is trying to build a peaceful mid-east. Period.

You are a typical Zionist who is willing to watch the slaughter of Children who belong to the world’s biggest refugee camp. How ignorant and selfish do you have to be to protect the stolen piece of land that originally was scheduled to be in the US somewhere in the boonies. But fine you want your fucking country on a stolen piece of land, why do you have to treat those poor bastards this way. During the last six months where the ceasefire was in effect, Israel blockaded the Gazans from even medical necessity. Do you know how many people have died just from the internationally recognized illegal blockade..that’s a fucking act of war moron. You support that than you are an animal and deserve to be treated as such. You care nothing for innocent children…since when it’s OK to kill babies because militants hid behind the…well fuckhead if Israelis weren’t such pussies they would get on the ground and go find the militants instead of bombing schools and peoples homes and now using phosphorous gar…you fucking cowards the world has woken up to your dirt deeds and you will pay you bastards.

Thanks for the reporting on this. I wish people (especially all the left-wing Jews here in California) could understand that there is this alliance going between the American left, the “peace” movement, and American Hamas sympathizers. It’s just unbelievable that otherwise intelligent people could be so fooled.

  19. 19Who is Zel? on Jan 13, 2009 at 3:06 pm:

I stumbled onto your website from God knows where, thanks for the photos, there is no need to elaborate on what these clowns have to say, their posters are loud enough. But….in any case, we heard from one idiot here, “Zel,” whose obscenities underscore the what the problem is about. If these protestors actually care about human rights, they disappeared during the bus bombings that destroyed the Oslo peace process. For single-minded Asperger losers like Zel, there is no greater opportunity to call others cowards but then to hide under a pseudonym. More than their racist comments, I find their lack of self-reflection and lack of any sense of irony most offensive.

My favorites are the “Jews are terrorist” and the amazingly untalented “ant.” Everytime I start to think maybe Israel should make concessions, or every time I think Israel has overreacted, I will think of these pictures. The protestors message is so vile, so demented and so utterly stupid, that I conclude that it was a mistake to support Israel’s Peace Now, and I should donate to Likud or similar parties that long ago figured out what “ant” is all about.

Boulder, Colorado has had several rallies in protest of Israel’s self-defence. But they’re tame stuff; earnest-looking people in dark clothing standing around on street corners waving signs. The protestors in Boulder strike me as ignorant buggers, but not hate-filled whackjobs, unlike the SF crowd.

For a happy story take a look at this: http://www.rockymountainnews.com/news/2009/jan/12/gaza-fight-sparks-rallies/. On Sunday, opposing rallies were held in Denver. The pro-Hamas crowd was estimated at 1,000, but the pro-Israel group was 3,000. Hooray!

  23. 23Christina on Jan 13, 2009 at 4:41 pm:

    That was depressing.

As far as I can tell, all you have to do to be embraced by the Left is to be a ruthless, selfish, murdering rat-bastard.

Look at how they pick sides:

Ted Bundy, or the Chi Omega sorority sisters and 12-year-old Kimberly Leech? They side with Ted.

Militant Islamic terrorists who want to kill everybody who’s not exactly like them, or the Jews who actually grant human rights to everybody, including their enemies? They side with the terrorists.

Michael Schiavo, who labored to put his wife to death while he cheated on her, or his innocent wife? They side with Schiavo.

Militant feminists too dumb to use their birth control effectively, or their hapless unborn children slated for dismemberment? They side with the militant feminists.

From the introduction to Camus’ “The Rebel” — “On the day when crime dons the apparel of innocence — through a curious transportation peculiar to our times — it is innocence that is called upon to justify itself.”

  24. 24DR on Jan 13, 2009 at 4:51 pm:

I am most suprised at the number of white, american supporters at the Pro-Hamas Rally. Do they not realize that Hamas wants them dead? that they associate Israel and the US the same way they associate Jews and Whites. this rally seemed less like an anti-war rally and more like an opportunity to bash the Jews. As a SF local, I am shocked at the support of such an oppressive movement as Hamas. They don’t tolerate anything and yet we, San Franciscans, support that. I think the world, especially the far left, is going to have a rude awakening very soon. Hamas and Hizbollah want citizens to die, innocents deaths = worldwide sympathy.

  25. 25Anonymous on Jan 13, 2009 at 4:53 pm:

    Greg and Zel:
Israel has a right to protect themselves. They have lived with bombs falling on them any time and any place, always worrying if this will be the last day they see their families. The Palestinians use children as their shields – cowards that they are – which is why Israel bombed the school. The bombing originated there!! And as for being denied medical necessities, go to http://www.barenakedislam.com to read the story about the Palestinian children being treated in Israeli hospitals. These children are brought up to hate Jews (and Americans! and anyone who isn’t Muslim) but still say “All Jews are not bad as they are helping me get well” If these “people” are not stopped, they will take over the world as is their goal. They are already well on their way in Europe. They will not be satisfied to just take over the world in the end as they will kill everyone who is not a Muslim.

  26. 26Zvi on Jan 13, 2009 at 5:09 pm:

Thank you for covering the anti-Semitic and repugnant behavior of these “protesters.” Documenting this behavior is very important.

You assume that the far left actually believe that a future Palestine would become communist. I don’t think that many leftist believe that.

Rather, the Islamists and the far left share an irrational and extreme hatred of Israel, Jews and the United States. Common emotion binds them together, not than a rational strategy or a common long-term vision.

Since communism collapsed world-wide, all but the most delusional of its orphaned advocates see that former icons of their pet ideology were either crooks or pawns and that the communist ideology has been rejected all around the world. Most moderates have left their ranks, and those who remain on the Far Left have become angry ideological pariahs.

Those on the Far Left have one lifesaver, however; communist propaganda trained them to hate Israel, the US, the Jews and the West in general. It filled their heads with vicious dogma and turned them into excellent foot-soldiers in any attack on the West. By latching onto this hatred, they finally find acceptance with somebody: Islamists and anti-Semites. When it comes to Israel, in particular, Islamists and others are willing to overlook for a while the fact that they despise the leftists and everything for which they stand.

The shared hatred combines with the now-habitual leftist tendency to make common cause with any available angry minority. In the past, this was a political strategy, but at this point, as much as anything else, it simply reflects the self-image of many on the left, who have marched in so many angry, rainbow-colored demonstrations that participation in such demonstrations has become a cornerstone of their identity.

so in the blog you wrote that “Because in a conflict like this, there is no middle group…” and I disagree with this statement. While it’s an extremely complicated topic, and I personally don’t know what a just solution would be, I do believe that there is a middle ground. I am an American Jew from the Bay Area, currently living in Israel. I am in a program where Israelis, Palestinians, Jordanians, and Americans are all living and studying together. While it has been hard due to the current situation, this is the answer. You must talk with everyone and understand all sides. You must listen, and put yourself in other people’s shoes no matter how hard it is. Violence is the easy answer, talking is hard. But worth it. Our group had a protest here in Israel for peace. We all came together, some people wearing both a kafia and a yalmaka, and held up signs which represented a middle ground. These signs included statements such as, “We refuse to be enemies, we stand together,” and “These are my friends,” and “Gaza deserves security too,” and “there is no military solution.” So i just wanted to put this out there, that there are palestinians and israelis living together and getting along and this is hope. This should be our future.

    WOW, just WOW……
I lived in SF from late 2001 to late 2006 and I am a social liberal and fiscal conservative. I look at these protests and I just have to laugh! The truth is that most San Franciscans are smarter than this. They may be liberal,(Very Liberal) but I believe the VERY vocal (and very small) and reactionist left are front and center at these protests. They are the Freshman of political views. You could rebuff their views with a simple “explain yourself?” and they would be stopped in their tracks. The Anarchists are simply political infants who hate EVERYTHING that looks like authority and are looking to smash the nearest McDonalds front window.
I applaud your connection between the Mansons and these groups like ANSWER and WORLD CAN’T WAIT. These people don’t realize that when you mix Communism with a fundamental theocracy, it equals a lot of dead anarchists, communists, gays, lesbians, transgenders, and anybody who has their own personal and spiritual beliefs. (Like me) and by the way, like alot of San Franciscans, most of whom have very non-mainstream beliefs.

Breeding the next generation of clueless protesters. Sad.

It took real courage to go there to witness firsthand the naivete of fools. As a poster said above, transgender, gays and liberals would be the first to be imprisoned and/or executed under Shar’ia Law.

But there is another important point missed here: The great culture of the West, including Beethoven, Mozart, the wonderful Greek language and ideas of ancient Greece, the entire Western Tradition of medicine, art, music, philosophy, criticism, agnosticism, etc….

All would be lost under Islam. Those sign carrying fools don’t remember (or know) that the playing of Chopin or Mendellsohn’s music during the Third Reich was punishable by death!

Ahatollah Khomeini banned all western music, not just “rap” music but also Beethoven. A world without Beethoven is unthinkable: That is the world if Islam.

Especially “enjoyable” is the rage at president elect Obama, whose policies are already closely matching those of the (hated) departing president.

“Pacifism for democracies is not the absence of war, rather it is the partner of appeasement and genocide.”

While we’re on the subject of attire, how far can the Palestinian flag be incorporated as a fashion statement before it constituted desecration? We’ve got shirts, masks, flags draped on empty coffins, the red triangle resembling blood, English messages being written on flags, people wearing the flag themselves, there has to be a cut-off somewhere. These sort of things are slightly less tolerated in Texas.

  59. 59Anonymous on Jan 14, 2009 at 8:35 pm:

It is often that people that consider themselves tolerant are only tolerant of people just as tolerant as them, not more and not less.

What is your source on the whole thing of people called “Palestinians”? Before about 1900s with the ideas of Theodore Herzl, the only people that lived in what is now called Israel or Falastin were Bedouins, Jews that had always lived there, and Arabs that had always lived there…

In the times between 1900ish-1948, the people called Palestinians were the new Jewish settlers in what is now Israel. The name Palestine comes from Latin Philista which comes from the Philistines which lived near where Haifa is now.

Fast forward to the 20th century, when there began a large influx of Jews who has started to cultivate and irrigate the land that was just a desert before.

In 1917, the Balfour Declaration allowed for a Jewish government to be set up where Israel is now. At the same time, Arab governments were being set up everywhere else, and acknowledgment was given to the fact that existing communities could remain everywhere. Of course, some Jews that lived in Syria, Iraq, Egypt decided to move to where there would be a Jewish government, and some Arabs decided to leave.

An important point is that what was called Palestine before 1917 now became Palestine (the Jewish government) and Transjordan (the Arab government). The British aimed for the Arabs living in Palestine to go to Transjordan if they wished. Now, Jordan is a Hashemite kingdom, in which the people come from the area around Palestine.

In 1947, the UN passed a resolution that split the newly split Palestine into an Arab state and a Jewish state. Following this, many Arab countries declared was on the newly formed country of Israel, and Israel retaliated, but did not take land from the Arab state.

The refugees that formed during that war (and the following wars as well) had a choice: either to stay in Israel proper, or go to the Arab state, which matches what is now Gaza and the West Bank. What is now Gaza was controlled by Egypt, and the West Bank by Israel.

Fast-forward past a few (relatively) minor conflicts (1950s).

In 1967, Arab countries were gearing up to attack Israel once more, but this time, Israel captured Gaza, the West Bank, the Golan Heights, and the Sinai.

In 1973, Israel expanded even further, past the Suez Canal, but this changed later, when in 1977, Israel began to have peace talks with Egypt, and in 1979, gave up everything in the Sinai, but got to keep Gaza. Likewise, the same occurred with Syria/Golan and West Bank/Jordan.

Gaza and the West Bank have had what are now called Palestinian majorities since then, and Israel has tried to give them as much autonomy as possible similarly to Russia and its autonomous republics. No one has ever stopped Arabs from living in Israel, half of the population is Arab.

However, due to increasing anti-Israeli violence, Israel allowed for some roads to be completely controlled by Palestinians, and some with joint control. Gaza has become a much more concentrated Palestinian population than the West Bank, because of the territory difference.

Throughout the years, Israel has given up large cities to autonomous Palestinian control, like Jericho. After the Oslo Accords were passed in 1994, Israel gave up one of its biggest cities, Hebron, which also carries important religious significance.

In conclusion, the Palestinians had various options throughout the years as where to live. One that had always remained is to live in Israel and accept that Israel will have a Jewish government. Other options have included: moving to Transjordan, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, etc.

Keep in mind that analogies like USA to states, Canada to Quebec, Mexico/Texas, Russia/Chechnya all miss a crucial element.

Israel is not larger than New Jersey. Going across the country horizontally takes 2 hours; vertically, it takes 5. Gaza and the West Bank have never been their own countries, but they have had their own representation in the Israel government. Israelis have built infrastructure all over Israel, and Gaza and the West Bank have been as developed as the rest of Israel up until 1994, the Oslo Accords.

That is when much more autonomy was given to both areas, and things started to deteriorate (see post-First Intifada). Later, in 2005, a complete disengagement occurred (see Second Intifada).

Now, for more current, non-historic facts.

One of the reasons that so few Israeli civilians die is that the Red Alert system is one of the most sophisticated in the world. There are bomb shelters 30 feet away from every home, and whenever there is a missile attack, more than a million Israelis have to hide.

Hamas, the elected government in Gaza has not spent money on infrastructure or improving living conditions. They have built tunnels and sold foreign aid packages in markets in Israel.

Israel calls, messages, and drops pamphlets into neighborhoods it is going to attack at least two hours before the attack, informing of the attack.

Every Palestinian civilian casualty gets an internal IDF investigation on how it occurred, why it occurred, and how to prevent it.

In 2005, an agreement was signed between US/Israel/Egypt/PLO regarding the Gaza border. The agreement stated that international and Egyptian inspectors must be present at any exchange over the border. When Hamas came into power, it kicked out all of the international inspectors and killed the Egyptian ones. Now, nothing can go through because of the agreement because Hamas won’t let inspectors come in.

    Now for personal information.

I have been in Israel three times, 1995, 1998, and 2000. On every occasion, I stayed in what is considered the West Bank, to the southeast of Jerusalem. I visited all over the country, to the Golan, Kinneret, Haifa, Akko, the Dead Sea, Tel-Aviv, Jerusalem, Tzfat, Beersheva, etc.

People that live in Israel (proper), Jews, Muslims, Christians, Druze; Israelis, Arabs, Russians, Europeans, Americans, Persians, all understand that they have to live together in the same tight space, and work together. Places like Jericho, Gaza City, Hebron (post-1994, my mom was able to visit in 1993) do not have the same diversity, and people do not have the experience of living with peaceful, non-militant, moderate and not radical people.

I was almost killed in Israel when we visited in 2000 when accidentally, we drove into Jericho.

“This goes a long way toward explaining how left-wing groups can possibly give their support to Hamas, which is after all a repressive theocratic regime”

Great point. To this day, as an unabashed leftist and (literally) a “card-carrying-commie,” I’ve never been able to agree with all the tripe that I’ve heard about why I should support Hamas or Hezobllah from many so-called progressives. Why should I support a group like Hamas if their obvious goal is to create a fundamentalist Muslim theocracy (which I, as an atheist, staunchly oppose)? Sort of reminds me of that one picture you posted of the guys carrying the “anti-imperialist solidarity” banner with Al-Sadr’s picture on it. What good is defeating imperialism if we replace with something worse?

I’d never expected to see coverage like this from a major US city. We should make a law that allows us to kick these anti-democrats out of our countries. I’ve been told there’s still plenty of room in Saudi-Arabia, Iran or Syria, and they all have sharia law there. Oh man all this makes me feel sad all over the place…I think war is a terrible thing in the first place, but if there is such a thing as a good war, then its the one between IDF and Hamas. Every democrat should support Israel now!

It is ridiculous to suggest that protesting the Gaza invasion automatically makes you a supporter of Hamas. I don’t think many (other than hard-core radicals) are suggesting that Hamas be given free rein to do as they please. However, Israel does not get free rein, either, to commit atrocities on civilians in Gaza which it has now become obvious that they are not concerned with avoiding. It is not anti semitic to expect Israel to follow the Geneva Convention and protect human rights just as it should have been done during the Holocaust. This time the oppressed as become the oppressor.

The goal of Islam is to create a state of worldwide chaos. The reason this is their goal is that the Koran states that the world must be in a state of chaos before the “12th Imam” or “Mahdi” can return and bring peace and stability throughout the earth. They will try to destabilize through conflict as well as through any other means available including loading up the public welfare rolls and trying to establish sharia everywhere in the guise of a civil rights issue. The whole Jew-hatred thing is only part of the larger picture for them. Any tools they can use, including leftists, are only too welcome toward the realization of their ultimate goal.

This excellent piece of photo journalism and shrewd commendtary is a vivid illustration of San Francisco political thought circa 2009. Commie wanabees who call themselves liberals yet whose politics are in the same latitude as
that Adolf guy from Nazi Germany. Obviously, anyone who does not agree with their hate filled agenda is obviously guilty of some sort f hate crime. When the late longshoreman philospher Eric Hoffer said in his book “The True Believer” that at the extreme left and right of political movements, there is little difference between Communists and facists, he was defining the groups protesting last Saturday in San Francisco.

It seems that the same general group of anarchists will protest a police shooting one day, Palestinian oppression the next, and genicide in Africa the following day all the while protesting policy in Tibet on their off hours. When will be the day that the mainstream media in covering these events recongnizes this phenonoma and state that these wackos are in fact the same crowd who attend any Anti-American event regardless of cause.

Such a logical approach will never happen as it would cause news people hiding behind anchor desks to shuffle

  82. 82Anonymous on Jan 15, 2009 at 6:30 pm:

First of all, let me say that those who compare Israelis to Nazis are ignorant jerks and it makes them just as bad as Nazis. I can see that some people never took any history classes and have no clue about the extermination of European Jews. The immigration of Jews to today’s Israel took place during the 1930s as the Brits made a deal with the leader of the Ottoman Empire that ruled the region at the time. The migration intensified with the onset of the WW II in order to escape the Nazi prosecution. Having said that, I also condemn Israel’s actions today and are no longer victims. One has to wonder why Hammas initially rocketed Israel? Hammas militants didn’t just wake up one day and decided to hate Israel.
The answer is found in the pictures we are seeing today; Israeli oppression and ethnic cleansing that has been ongoing since 1948. I don’t understand this logic: Hammas killed less than a dozen Israeli soldiers and are called “terrorists”–Israel however, killed more than 1000 Palestinians (in less than 3 weeks) and subjected them to a blockade, denied them the access to food supply, medicine and are shelling schools day and night..What do we call this; self defense? I watched today Israeli official justifying the shelling of UN headquarters, claiming that Hammas was there using Palestinians (their own people) as human shields.. Hm, the UN Secretary dismissed it as a big fat lie and stated that no militants were in the vicinity except the UN personnel. The Israeli officials told the same lie after shelling the UN school, killing 40 civilians and injuring dozens of innocent people.

Well, let’s back up for a moment and roll the picture back to 1995 and let us remember the events that took place in Somalia and what Tutsis did to Hutus-or what Serbs did in Kosovo… What did we call it back then and how do we call it today? Did we call it “self-defense” or a “crime against the humanity ” Such actions should be punished; regardless if committed by Hutus, Serbs,Hammas or Israelis. However, we can all see who the true victims are, and they are not Israelis. A logical mind can deduce the bit parts and conclude that Israel is committing a crime against the humanity.
Those of you who cannot comprehend this, I suggest you read more .

I must say that I find it very strange that everyone will take Hamas side on this issue. Thousands of people are now joining and voicing opinions on freeing Palestine. I am a film producer and have spend the last year in Gaza doing a story on Hamas and its fight with Israel. I have interviewed 150 different individuals of which 45 were from Israel and 105 from Hamas – Gaza. I interviewed Martyrs, politicians as well as the public. I was watching Al Jazeera a few moments ago with Osama Qush ( I am sorry if the surname is spelled incorrectly ).

Osama stated that Hamas is fighting against Iraaels occupation ! May I ask Occupation of what ? In my time I spend in Gaza there was no sign of Israels military presence at all. NOTHING !

I should know as I visited the region prior to 2002. And have visual comparisons between then and now. The current ‘war’ on GAza by Israel is promoted by all pro Islamic groups as a war crime, as unjust. I was in GAza at the time the attack started, and upto that point, NO ISRAEL forces were present in Gaza.

I notice how Hamas very selectively plays on the international media by continually stating how woman and children are being killed. Even Aljazeera reports the names of the ‘KIDS’ being killed by the Israel forces.

Let me put this to you. Hamas is sacrificing the woman and children of Palestine for its own war against Israel. 39 of the interviews I did the Hamas Militants actually admitted to hiding in Schools, Mosques and other public places. As the a few of the interviewees pointed out, they do this with the intent to put the Israel intelligence off course ? Now that is fine, but when Israel strikes at them they are quick to voice how many families are killed ! But they do not mention the fact that these families knowingly had tunnels leading to Egypt from within their houses. They do not mention that many of these families hide ammunition and arms for Hamas. Now in my book this makes these individuals as guilty as the Hamas fighters firing the rockets. I have video footage of a group of militants firing a rocket. Do you know that before the rocket is fired, they pray in the name of Allah that with every rocket fired, he will assist them in driving Israel into the sea. Now is this a militant organization fighting to free its people, or to drive an age old enemy into the ocean. Is this a war for freedom or is this a jihad on priciples as seen by a small group of individuals who have made themselves the spokes people for the Palestinians and Gaza.

I am sorry, but I think you should come and visit me in South AFrica when you have time so I can show you how misguided your thoughts are about what Hamas is really fighting for. Do you know that everyday, thousands of young want to be Martyrs sign up for the cause to fight for Hamas or some secret extremist organization !

I have footage of this, I have visual proof. All you have is the propaganda of an organization hell bent of fighting a war based on its own principles while claiming it to be for the freedom of others.

    Kind Regards

    William Granzier

    Executive Producer

Are you saying that Israeli army hasn’t killed more than 1000 Palestinians in the past couple of weeks? Are you saying that the UN officials are lying when saying that no Hammas militants were present at the UN HQ and schools when Israelis shelled it? Is the entire world lying ?
How come Israel is not permitting western journalists to take the footages while in action? Don’t tell me it’s for the safety purposes as Hammas militants probably don’t even have the access to electrical power, not to mention TV. What took Israel so long to allow the UN personnel to deliver much needed food and medical supplies to Palestinians ? Sir, you do understand this violates conventional Geneva laws–crimes against the humanity ? You might be “executive producer” but one may ponder how objective you might be taking into consideration one of your statements : “I have interviewed 150 different individuals of which 45 were from Israel and 105 from Hamas – Gaza”.
Sir, you are referring to entire Gaza as Hammas ? I thought you understood entirely that region and took credible footages ? WoW…quite astonishing ! Yet, you refer to everything I see as propaganda? Most importantly, you are disputing the legitimacy of UN ! People like you amaze me !

  120. 120Digital Emotion Media on Jan 16, 2009 at 4:01 am:

No, Not all. What I am saying to you is this. Hamas insists that the reason its firing rockets into Israel, is to free its people from occupation. Y What I stated, is this. I was in Gaza from 18th July 08 untill the 29 th Dec 08. At the time when i was in Gaza, up to the time that I left on the 28th THERE WAS NO ISRAELI MILITARY IN GAZA. NONE !

So my point is this. If Hamas says that it is firing the rockets into Israel to free its people from Occupation – I ask Occupation of what ? SInce 2005 Israel withdrew from GAZA. Completely. Since 2005 Hamas have been firing rockets.
To be accurate 2933 rockets were fired into Israel since Israel withdrew from GAZA ? WHY ?

Israel decided to invade GAZA to limit Hamas capabilities in firing rockets.

You need to understand the conflict in the region and fundamentalist beliefs of the Hamas group to understand why this is happening. I have spent a good part of 6 years following this.

Hamas uses woman and children as shields. The always make sure that they surround themselves with ‘innocent victims’ .

Please do not believe for one moment that these ‘innocent’ people are being killed on purpose by the Israeli special forces. You also need to understand why Hamas is ruling GAza and how they came to power.

What I refer to as propaganda is this. Hamas and its militants surround themselves with ‘innocent people’ by convincing families to hide arms in their houses, to use their houses to host tunnels that connect Gaza with Egyot through which the rockets, food and other arms are smuggled. They do this intentionally. they intentionally put innocent people in the line of fire by getting them involved in the conflict. But they cry that innocent civ’s are being killed in the conflict. They are quick to mention that innocent people and kids are being killed. They use the images of these ‘innocent’ people in their propoganda machine to show the world ” LOOK AT IS ISRAEL, THEY ARE KILLING INNOCENT CIVILIANS”

Kinda of a bullshit propaganda argument to me ! The VietKong did the same thing in the Vietnam war remember. So what happened ? They Napalm the entire village !

Remember both sides has story. Israel is not innocent, but I believe above all they have a right to defend themselves !

Here is a question for u – If your some one keeps lobbing bricks through your lounge window, how many times will you ask them to POLITELY stop before you go out and kick their butts.

Most of the people commenting on these blogs have never been to Gaza or Israel. Its easy to pick sides when all you see are pictures on CNN, NBC and Aljazeera.

These crews are called ‘imbedded journalists’ They are not given freedom to film everything they want, and the footage is screened before given clearance. Just incase you are not aware, the US military does this all the time. I filmed an operation for SKY in Iraq and we had to get special clearance to do this. Mr. Granzier,

You are basically calling all the legitimate news media (CNN, NBC, etc) a “propaganda machine” and want me to buy into your story..Is that what you are saying? However, you never answered to some of my previous question…Is UN lying as well? I’ll repeat again : Are you saying that the UN officials are lying when saying that no Hammas militants were present at the UN HQ and schools when Israelis shelled it? Is the entire world lying ?
How come Israel is not permitting western journalists to take the footages while in action? Don’t tell me it’s for the safety purposes as Hammas militants probably don’t even have the access to electrical power, not to mention TV. What took Israel so long to allow the UN personnel to deliver much needed food and medical supplies to Palestinians ? Sir, you do understand this violates conventional Geneva laws–crimes against the humanity?
As for as your remarks on Israel being polite towards Palestinians—you must be kidding me !!! Sir, I’ll repeat again; I’m a historian and quite familiar with the (un)legitimacy and the establishment of Israel after WWII in 1948. It would be the same as if the Jewish refugees were seeking to establish their own state within Canada or US and pushed away the urban residents who were already living there and/or were asked to submit to their regime. Sir, Hammas is fighting for their land and Palestinians should be able to control their own borders. What’s hard to understand here? Perhaps, you should take some history classes ! You’ve been following this for six years and I wrote my PhD dissertation on this subject and spent time in both, Israel and Gaza.. So, don’t sell Israeli propaganda ! I saw Israeli destruction of Palestinian homes in 1996 and being forced to leave. Perhaps, this answers your question.

I honestly feel bad for Obama. There will always be those groups and people who want a puppet to control, who think because they donated 151$ or 1500$ to a campaign he now “owes” them some sort of revolution. The guy promised change, not a bloody revolution. And everyone interpreted “change” as whatever they wanted to, whatever fits their agenda. Annoyingly, there will always be people who don’t understand that the president must represent all Americans even the one’s you don’t agree with and, it seems from these pictures, desire to kill. Anyways, even a little change of the pigheaded obstinacy of the political scene can go a long way and the guys not even president yet. Oh my.

Also, I can’t help but wonder if half these people you show in your photos truly understand what a revolution is. What the consequences can be. Are they so bored with their lives that even death and destruction is better then what they have and what their children and families have or that they can attain in the present world? Because someone’s child is dying on the other side of the planet are you willing to sacrifice your own? If they want to experience and see death and destruction so badly go to Sudan and volunteer with an aid organization, go to Cambodia, go to Russia and work for a school district or if you can’t do that work with charities that are doing tangible things to help people help themselves and not ones that call for some sort of bloody political upheaval as a solution to the worlds woes. Go and do something… something real and tangible. This ain’t tangible, this is a child throwing a tantrum in a public square.

All of these protestors trying to tie Israel and Zionism to Nazi , Serbian and even Rwandan genocides should read their history books. These are nothing more than feeble attempts to deligitimize the Israeli state. Unfortunately, even the President of Bolivia is getting the world stage with these outrageous accusations The Iranian president could not be more happy now that he has others to do his biddings. Fortunately, most Americans can see through these rallies and the Islamofascist regimes behind them. The growing antisemetic tone of these pro Palestinian rallies is disturbing however, especially in Chicago. See the link that was put on the Union for Reform Judaism web page about the growing anti semitic tone of gaza protests http://www.jewishsf.com/content/2-0-/module/displaystory/story_id/36818/format/html/displaystory.html

If you are a historian sir you should know the real reasons behind the war between Israel and Palentine and why it has been going on for 400 years. You should also know the background to Islam. If not I recommend you read Mohammed’s scriptures especially the years spend in Medina. You will draw a clear understanding as to why these attacks carry on. If you would like I can send you a few documents via mail regarding Hamas and their reasons for declaring was on Israel. It might shock you that these reasons are so far off the mark that its not even true.

One one side, I condemn those who offend Jews by calling them Nazis, and on the other hand, I condemn people like yourself as it makes them just as bad. In fact, your statement above reminds me of a composer Seigfried Wagner- a pro-Nazi supporter who proposed similar treatment of those who defended Jews.

    And, I’m not a “Sir”- I’m a 34 year-old woman.
Your statement: “I get angry when I hear Hamas quoting those figures as propaganda, when they know they are partially to blame for what is happening”. Sir, Hamas is not quoting these figures but UNICEF, hospital officials and UN.
Please, don’t tell me that Doctors W. Borders were operating there freely as we all know that no one had the access to Gaza for the first 8 or 9 days with an exception of the parts bordering with Egypt-and, only a few were lucky ones were able to get the medical attention . Actually, the Executive Director of UNICEF, Ms. Ann Veneman, said today that there are so many pregnant women in Gaza who are in need of urgent assistance but can’t get any as Israelis are shelling day and night. Also, the 3- hour cease fire is not enough time to deliver the much needed food and medical supply but Israel is still refusing to grant more time to UN aide workers. I truly hope that the International tribunal for war crimes gets established just for this case (as it was in case of Somalia and former Yugoslavia) and somebody has to be accountable for this. This makes Israel 100 times worse than Hammas.

Make no mistake about it: Israel’s offensive in Gaza is an appropriate and necessary military response to nearly three years of attacks by Hamas and its proxies. This is so undeniable that for the first time, numerous Arab and Muslim leaders have placed the blame squarely on Hamas.

Three years ago, when Israel ceded Gaza to the Palestinians by dismantling all settlements and removing all military presence, the response from Gaza was immediate, and entirely uncalled for – missiles and mortars launched daily into southern Israel. Thousands of them. After a six month hutna (Arabic for ‘informal ceasefire’), Israel was eager to extend the ceasefire. Hamas was not, proved so by immediately began launching missiles into Israel again.

Two days later, Hamas announced the obvious, that the ceasefire was over.

Even if Israel succeeds in crushing Hamas’ ability to attack Israel, nothing will change, until Hamas stops fostering a Palestinian national self-identity that validates itself by invalidating Israel.

Unless all Palestinian leaders lead the people to focus on nation-building (an independent State of Palestine) and away from nation-destruction (Israel), they will continue to deprive future generations of the same sort of life every Israeli wishes for his or her own children.

Can you please explain what was your purpose of bringing up the Communists in this debate?

Couldn’t help but notice that many of you attacked the protesters by using the words such as ” Communism” .

Additionally, one Pro-Israeli supporter wrote here ( # 142) and I quote: “Spot on, most of these POS need a bullet in their little Marxist heads…..the rest, burn them for good measure….”.

Many of you are using such words and accusations and at the same time, you complain about the protesters who condemn the murder of innocent civilians.
Eastern European communists saved a good number of Jews from the Auschwitz and many other concentration camps across Europe , and I find it quite interesting that “Communism” and “Marxist Heads” are being used here to discredit the protesters. Personally, I think that such pro-Israeli supporters will attack just anybody who stands up to Israeli occupation and ” Genocide” over the Palestinian people.
The sad part is that such people are not even educated enough to discuss such things. Again, what was the purpose of bringing in the “Communists”? Why was it so important to say that some of the protesters were the communists? Why?

Remember, the world is watching and the history will not be forgotten!

The entire world is SICK of the Mythology of the Middle East. In the name of Religion, and all loving gods (aka invisible friends in the sky) you have been killing one another for a long time, and lately IT IS STARTING TO ENDANGER EVERYONE’S safety.

I say the UN comes together, and informs both parties to stop the killing, on both sides, or the rest of the world will turn the area into GLASS. Then fight over the shards.

The long standing religious war, based on ancient desert prejudices is the sole reason for the bloodshed over a plot of “holy” land. One side TOOK land from another so many times, no one knows who to blame any more. Because of the Holocaust, Isreal thinks it is ok to kill whomever they want. Because of the “Land grab” that made the eyesore called Isreal, the Palastinians think it is ok to kill whomever they want.

One side needs to absorb the violence first, and show themselves to be better people by forgiving the other. Reconcile and SPEAK, and share, you know like they taught you in kindergarten?

One Jewish person taking pictures at a protest, and calling people who have legitimate concerns about world safety and peace “Communists” at every turn of a lens aperture, is not going to shed any new light on an argument. Your photo essay is an illustration of how unwilling you are to put yourself in another human beings shoes to try and empathize with their sentiments. it is not the humorous “Zombie” analogy that you so witlessly outlined in this piece of biased garbage.

There will always be people that follow the crowd. There will always be idiots. Do not lump a group into one small narrow minded generalization. There are Billions of points of view, beyond your own.

    @ Historian:

Here’s a quick test of your true historical knowledge. Your Ph.D in history does not impress me. I’ve been a member of Phi Alpha Theta since before you started kindergarten.

Question….Where was the Palestinian flag designed, what year was it designed, who designed it, and what does it’s colors of red, black, white, and green represent?

    Answer it honestly.
If you do answer it honestly, you’ll get a grasp of true historical irony and begin your journey towards true historical knowledge.

Once you know the truth it will set you free.

Quit making excuses for the real genocidal idiots.
Read the Hamas charter. Understand it. If you’re intellectually honest with yourself, you’d condemn it and the Palestinian flag.
If you can’t find the answers to my questions, I’ll be glad to provide them for you because there is nothing more detestable to me than a totally ignorant person who flaunts their credentials as a “historian”.

As for some poster relating the absolute fact that communists attended this rally and commented on the reality that the ties that bind these “victim” groups are STRONG, I would only have to say that you must be selectively blind and missed all the photos of the “Spartacists” with their ilk & brethern, either that or you scrolled too fast through the photo essay and that’s your piss poor excuse for whining “Again, what was the purpose of bringing in the “Communists”? Why was it so important to say that some of the protesters were the communists? Why? “.
100 years of failure and over 100 million murdered in the name of “social justice, social economic equality, and fairness” i.e. “class, religious, and racial hatred” ……that’s “why”.

I also find it ironic that you claim “Remember, the world is watching and the history will not be forgotten!”
Funny indeed because how can you forget what you certainly don’t know?
Academia must be giving out Ph.Ds in bubble gum machines these days.

Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day!
….I’m sure he’d believe Sharia Law, Hamas, Hizbullah, The PLO, Global Jihad, the return of the Mahdi, the destruction of Israel & The USA, the subjugation of women, the murdering of infidels and homosexuals in a “legally religious guise”, suicide bombings, using women and children as shields, and the establishment of a world caliphate would be a good thing.
    That’s the Islamofascists “I Have a Dream”.

As for as Palestinian flag, you can look it up on line (Wikipedia)–except–the dates are not correct. It was initially designed with the onset of the WW I (1914) and it was meant to revolt the occupation of the Ottoman Empire that was oppressing the Palestinians before the arrival of the Jews in mid 1930s- who continued with the oppression up to the present. Clear?

Your comment: “there is nothing more detestable to me than a totally ignorant person who flaunts their credentials as a “historian”…….Madam/ Sir…why don’t you try getting your own PhD in history (it doesn’t have to be the same subject), and only after doing so, you will be an adequate person to pass judgments and to discuss the historic events with me. Anyhow, congratulations, you’re an elitist! I expected nothing less from one who is so “learned”…but you didn’t do your homework! Shame.

True, the layout was designed prior to WWI in the Arab Hasemite tradition, but the stripes went from top to bottom as follows; Black, green, then white, not the current black, white, then green.
The current color scheme and designation came about in 1940 in Damascus and Berlin with the founding and the funding of the pro-National Socialist Ba’ath Party. That’s right..you can say it, go ahead…try it. Say “NAZI”.
Don’t believe me?…Here, since you’re so fond of Wikipedia:

Well, if that isn’t enough for you and your students, did you ever teach them about the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem?
Probably not, but anyhow, the founder of the “modern” Palestinian movement added the white disk and swastika to it when he stayed in Berlin during WWII organizing Muslim SS units and other pro-Nazi and anti-Jewish activities.
It flew over the Reich’s Chancellory and the Berghof when he met with Hitler.
This article doesn’t mention these facts, but here’s a visual:

    Nice, huh?

Trying to claim that the current Palestinian flag pre-dates 1940 and Nationl Socialism is white-washing real history.
So there you have it Key Klown, a flag that had it’s birth pangs deep inside the history of the Third Reich.
Keep supporting it darlin’ professor and keep on “teaching”. If I was one of your students, I’d be demanding a tuition refund. Too bad there isn’t tort law for defective products in academia.

  182. 182hank on Jan 20, 2009 at 6:33 pm:

This whole thing is BULLSHIT. First there are no “Palastinians” Just Arabs that lived in the area dubbed: “Palistine” by the Romans thousands of years ago. It is an amalgum of seperate smaller states. i.e. Judea, Israel, and others. In the 1800′s Jews from all over the world started BUYING property leagally from the people who lived there and set up farms and other self-supporting communes. Eventually the Jews started turning the arid desert into producing farms and attractive land. Now the shieks who had thought they were screwing the Jews by selling them useless desert became jealous of what the Jews had done and wanted the land back. They started raiding the Jewish villages and killing innocent men, women and children in an attempt to terrorize them into leaving. It didn’t work.
When in 1947 the U.N. devided “Palistine” into a Jewish State Israel, and an Arab State, Jorden. The Arabs conspired to get rid of the Jews and take over the land. First all of the surrounding millions of Arab Nations, i.e. Egypt, Syria etc, etc, joined together and declared war on the fledgling state, Israel. They warned all Moslems living in the Jewish State to get out because they planned to invade Israel and kill every man, woman and child indescriminately till the land was “clensed” of Jews.
The Moslems of Israel (who were welcome to stay and be full fledged citizens of Israel) fled into the surrounding Arab countries. But, when the millions of Arabs invaded Israel the little Israelie army beat the shit out of them.
So, did the Arabs take in the displaced “Palastinian” that they had scared into fleeing Israel? No, they wouldn’t accept them and made them live in refuge camps (supposidly till they could mount another attack on Israel and wipe out the Jews) BUT, the fucken Arab shit heads couldn’t win. So what did they do? They made the “Palastinians” into a political football and they have spent the last 60 years whipping up anti-Israel bullshit to keep these people hating Israel, Jews, America etc.
Now, the “Palastinians” keep performing acts of terrorism by blowing up school buses and schools etc. And the world looks away. But, when the Israelies try to stop the violence by craking down on the “Palastinian” murderers, Suddenly the Jews are Nazies.
Well you know what? FUCK YIOU ALL!” You’ll Never stop the Jews! We will rule the world!!!!!!

  183. 183George Bentley on Jan 20, 2009 at 6:58 pm:

    @ 164 Historian Asked me,
“Can you please explain what was your purpose of bringing up the Communists in this debate?”

How about the fact that Communist were at this rally, that communist support these rallies, communist help raise money for and organize these rally.
If you want me to not mention Communist at these rallies, then you want me to ignore 1/2 of what is going on there. Can you tell me why it is that terror supporters are so quick to try to cover up the obvious communist connection? Can you tell me why the Middle East Terrorist of the 60s 70s and 80s all had ties to the Soviet or Chinese governments? Can you tell me why I can’t make an honest assessment of what I saw without you getting all defensive?

Historian also tried to tar a negative on me by quoting someone else
“Additionally, one Pro-Israeli supporter wrote here (# 142) and I quote: “Spot on, most of these POS need a bullet in their little Marxist heads…..the rest, burn them for good measure….” ”

I would appreciate it if you would avoid this painfully obvious tactic, I know that just yelling Nazi isn’t working for you guys any more but if you can stick to the subject at hand. I have never called for or implied that I agree in any way shape of form with the above statement. It is an insult to me that you even imply such.

And then Historian tells a half truth
“Eastern European communists saved a good number of Jews from the Auschwitz and many other concentration camps across Europe”

While it is true the Eastern European armies liberated these camps it is also true that Soviet Russia had a few of their own. It was no walk in the park being a Jew in Soviet Russia.

Finally Historian gives me a warning.
“Remember, the world is watching and the history will not be forgotten!”

The world did see, and history has shown the very things you deny, it is you that has chosen to forget.

Of all of the the things that offend me in this post, the one that I can’t seem to get over is how unfunny your commentary is. It seems that your only response to anti-Israel sloganeering is a poor attempt at humorously deconstructing the logic in their claims. Maybe, instead of condemning the Jews who are against the massacre in Gaza, and calling them anti-semites, you should perhaps consider the fact that their Jewish identity (as in the case of my own) is actually what compels them to make the bold statements that they’re making. Judaism is a religion of time–not of space–and the amount of Israel worship I see around me must be akin to what Moses saw in his coterie of idolaters as he led them through the desert…In my eyes, the constant accusation of anti-semitism on the part of critics of Israel is becoming more and more an exploitative technique to give Israel a military carte blanche, and furthermore, amounts to a more subtle type of fanatacism. It’s called paranoia.

(I can check the IP address of who makes each comment, and then check that against other comments they made.) It’s a common tactic. Right on cue, other leftists come in and then cite the comment as evidence of their opponents’ intolerance. Predictable. I’m leaving the comment up there not because I agree with it but as exhibit #1 of what a moby comment is like.

  197. 197hank on Jan 21, 2009 at 4:14 pm:

When you have no answer to a post the first thing some people do is to attack the poster for spelling etc. Please be aware that many of the posts on a topic like this are written in haste and anger. And, not everyone is a great typist.

Now in answer to why Israel did not consult with the U.N.?
Past history has shown that the U.N. is very slanted against Israel. Many, many times over the years the U.N. along with the world has sat by and watched the Arab countries vow to annihilate Israel, watched them mount attacks on Israelie schools, school buses, market places, hotels etc. with no action taken or any sanctions brought against these state-run terroist attacks. But as soon as Israel trys to stop the attacks by using even the most civilized methods such as searching people getting on the bus or stopping people at the borders to check for explosives, suddenly Israel is “treating them like second class citizens” and making their lives “unbearable.” And all of a sudden the U.N. votes to condem Israel for these horrible acts. Therefore over the years Israel has learned to distrust and ignor the U.N. Israel knows it has no one to rely on except itself. So when Hisballa uses Gaza and innocent Gazans as a shield to taughnt Israel and launch rockets into Israel, what can Israel do? Sit back and let their people get killed indescriminately? Israel warned and warned and warned them to stop. But when they wouldn’t and the rest of the world sat by ignoring it, Israel did what it had to do. It struck back at the source of the rockets. If the cowardly Hisballa hides their rockets amongst the innocent Gazans and in hospitals etc. What’s the U.N. going to do about it? Nothing! You gotta do what you gotta do. Hopefully the Gazan people will realize that it is Hisballa that is the cause of their suffering and kick them out of power.

What realy irks me are Jews who buy into the “anti-zionist” crap. It’s the same old story, you take a word and demonize it over and over till ignorant people buy it. Just like the word “liberal”. When I was a kid I was taught that a liberal was a person who was willing to see both sides of a story, who was willing to change his position if he was convinced something was right, who felt empathy for the downtrodden and who wanted everyone to be happy, healthy and safe in America. But thanks to the deomonizing propaganda of the Right, the word now means to many people, a person who wants to raise your taxes, take money out of your pocket and food out of your mouth and give it away indescriminately to illeagal alians and welfare cheats. A person who hates America and (up until the downfall of the Soviet Union) was a communist trator.
A Zionist used to be somewone who just wanted a safe place for Jews to settle and live in peace. Now a Zionist is a nazi, a monster and a killer! What CRAP! Wake-up self-hating Jews you are being led by the nose by people who hate YOU and want YOU dead.

What do I want? As a Jew, I want to be left alone. I don’t want every non-Jew I meet to try and say Yiddish words to me to make me feel like they “accept” me.
I (personally) have no need to go to Israel, but to most Jews it’s a big deal. I do think it is only fair that my people have a homeland. I am sure if the %&^$# Arabs would stop trying to kill all Jews and destroy Israel thay could have peace. For Christ sake! (maybe that’s the wrong word) well, For Cry’n Out Loud! Arabs, get a life! If they spent as much time teaching their kids to read and write as they do teaching them to hate jews and blow themselves up, they might have a nice life.
I have two suggestions. 1st: Gaza is on the water, develop the beaches, build some all-inclusive hotels, allow drinking and gambling and give all the Arabs jobs and let them make money, buy TV’s cars etc and maybe they would forget about the Jews.
2nd idea. Let’s get every Jew in the world to chip-in a few bucks and buy a nice island someplace. Then one day all the Jews in Israel just pick-up and move out. Leave Israel and all it’s infrastructor to the Arabs. Then sit back and watch how long it takes them to kill each other and screw it up. Of course, though, as soon as everything falls apart they will blame the Jews for leaving them and send suicide bombers to the new Jewish island state, to start terrorizing that.

    Great work, as usual Zombie.

From the sublime to the surrealistic to the utterly grotesque, it IS good to have an REAL “independent lens” out there snapping up shots of what appears to be the dark side of mutli-culti pieties. While its not always true that protesters per se are indicative of some ideology or notion’s full truth, it is ALSO important to get perspective.

    And so we have it.

    My only question at the moment (other than why many of your lefter protesters looks a little less hygenic than your standard city dwellers) is HOW, or maybe WHY, the MSM cannot grasp what the protesters do (to their credit);

To wit, the goal of Hamas, the PLO, the P.A., and other terror offshoots is to DESTROY Israel when/if the opportunity presents itself. Nothing More. Nothing less. Compromise is not on the real agenda long term, except as strategy to the greater end. It is not about shaving out some part of territory. It IS about the annihilation of the Jewish State.

I might have missed it–what is your policy on usage of these photos. They ARE very revealing.

I know what you mean. I’m talking about the definition of the labels: Leftist, Liberal, Right-Wing, Fascist etc.
These labels are supposed to define certain beliefs and behaviors. I always thought a “liberal” was a person who was empathetic with the plights of others. And, a “Fascist” was a person who was very set in their beliefs and would not tolerate other peoples beliefs or practices. But, of course I was brought up by Jewish parents who grew up during the Depression and went through hard times. Take a look at the first picture of the mother with her two little girls dressed in jackets with the “Palastinian” flag colors. I don’t think my parents ever had jackets with FDR’s image on the back. Nor, do I flaunt my beliefs in the face of others. I don’t even believe in wearing a jewelry star or mazizza. I’m a Jew and that’s my business. One of my favorite ironic things is when you see the sluttiest looking pop star flaunting their sexuality and wearing a huge cross. It blows my mind!

Im tired of defending animals, and both sides are just that. Im a NEW YORKER and as one I dont need jews or arabs as allies. Im also an AMERICAN so I dont need to take sides with war mongering idiots. I will say this once and if you know me then you know me.

All of you should be ashamed of yourselves and I hope that an honest and loving god does not allow any murders into heaven no matter what the justification is. War makes me sick and humans who take sides in this matter are just feeding the war animals. Ignore them and lets hope they all kill each other fast. Again “my” opinion is the one of people (AMERICANS) who are tired of foreigners acting like assholes and expecting America to bail you out. I dont like racists and another reason all this upsets me is that JEWS come off like big racists alot when it comes to this argument and ARABS seem to be born racists. Israel at least for now has all the cards and toys with the Palestinians and their supporters letting them blow off a little steam firing rockets into Sderot etc. When it has enough it inflicts more serious punishment such as targeted assinations and what we just witnessed in Gaza. The Arabs know this truth and it inspires a rage that stems from helplessness. It seems to me that the long term success of Israel depends solely on what the Jews do. God never has and never will forsake the covenant with his eternal people but how much pain they have to endure is up to them. When the Jews follow God’s commandments all will be right with the world and the world will recognize the legitamacy of Israel to everyone’s benefit.May we witness this speedily.

    The Irish Independent
Why the Israeli people have finally had enough

    By Ian O’Doherty

So, it’s genocide now, is it? Or is it actually another holocaust,
something which one typically restrained Palestinian analyst described
as “worse than Hitler’s war against the Jews”? Are we watching the
ethnic cleansing of an entire people? Are we witnessing the deliberate
    eradication of a race?

    Well, no actually, we’re not.

Yet the conventional dinner party wisdom which we’ve had to put up
with in the media, both here in Ireland and generally across Britain,
is that somehow Israel is the aggressor in the rapidly worsening
    situation in Gaza.

Footage of air strikes with the ensuing photogenic explosions and
dramatic plumes of smoke, quickly followed by clips of collapsed
buildings and enraged mourners, makes far better copy than actually
looking at the reasons why Israel has done what it’s done.

Anyone who devotes only a cursory glance at the news, both print and
television, would be forgiven for thinking that, out of spite, might
and malice, Israel has decided to destroy the Palestinian people.

The problem with that conclusion — and it’s not something you’re
going to learn from the BBC and most other outlets — is that,
contrary to the currently popular belief, Israel is actually acting
with a ridiculous degree of restraint.

Over the last couple of years, thousands of rockets have been landing
on Israeli soil and, finally, they have had enough.
But behind that statistic there is a human dimension which tends to be
    rather ignored.

I know many people in the southern Israeli town of Sderot and what is
remarkable about their stories is not the number or make of rockets
which have fallen on them on a daily basis for years, but the
psychological carnage this wreaked upon them. One woman freely
admitted to me that she hasn’t had a proper night’s sleep in more than
two years as she and her family now basically live in their bomb
shelter and it’s hard to tell who she hates more — the Muslim
terrorists of Hamas or the Israeli government which she thinks has
    abandoned them.

It’s a common feeling amongst residents of southern Israeli towns who
have been the silent victims of a long campaign of violence,
intimidation and murder carried out by Hamas. And now, finally, that
the Israelis have said that enough is enough, they are somehow meant
to be the aggressors? There are people of good conscience on both
sides of this argument, but one of the main problems in this debate
lies in the cowardly tendency of the Western media to apply
equivalence to both sides. Thus, Hamas is seen to be as legitimate a
government as the Israelis, and its rocket attacks across the border
from Gaza are seen as being part of a yet another, intractable,
interminable Middle Eastern dispute. There’s just one problem with
that approach — it’s completely wrong.

Hamas is a fundamentalist Islamic organisation intent on the
eradication of the state of Israel and all its citizens; a violent
fascist regime that allows honour killings and the execution of
homosexuals to continue in its sphere of influence. Bankrolled by
Iran, it manages to make even Hezbollah look like a moderate
    organisation. But Hamas is clever.

As a friend of mine from Sderot pointed out, one of its favourite
tactics is to launch Qassams from Palestinian schoolyards — while the
schools are still in session. Hamas does this, you see, knowing that
the IDF can’t immediately strike back (they can vector a rocket launch
site within 90 seconds) because the last thing the Israelis need is
footage of a devastated Palestinian school with dead kids.

And, over the last week, we have seen carefully manipulated footage of
dead civilians, with the fact that they were effectively used as human
shields conveniently ignored. When Israel pulled out of Gaza –
ironically, the last battalion of IDF troops to leave Gaza contained
some people from Sderot — they were acceding to international and
internal pressure. The doves on the Left said it was to prove to
Palestinians that they wanted to give Palestinians independence, the
hawks on the Right — and there are some truly scary right-wingers in
Israel, even as ardent a supporter of the country as I am will freely
admit that — prophesied that it would lead to carnage.
And, lo and behold, virtually as soon as the last jeep left Gaza the
rockets started. And then the blockade began, and the whole damn mess
    started all over again.

But there’s a bigger picture here, something which Israelis have been
trying to broadcast to the world, but which, thanks to their
spectacular inability to accurately and sympathetically portray their
point of view, has not been properly transmitted. It’s this — Israel
is the front line of the war between democracy and Islamic fascism.
Would you rather live in a society with a free press, equal rights for
women — and anyone who knows an Israeli woman will know that they’re
not easily suppressed, anyway — equal rights for gay people and a
proud and stubborn belief in the right of the individual to lead their
life in the way that they see fit or would you rather exist in a
society where women who dare to speak their mind are executed, where
gay people are not just shunned but murdered and where having a
dissenting thought marks you out for death?

The civilian deaths in Gaza are to be mourned, and anyone who says
otherwise is reprehensible. But in a sick and twisted irony, they are
mourned more by Israelis than by Hamas, who know that every dead
Palestinian kid is worth another piece of propaganda.

Here in the West, where we share the same values as Israel, we need to
start standing shoulder with this tiny oasis of democracy in a vast
desert of savagery. To do otherwise is moral cowardice of the most
    repugnant kind.

I have pointed out the demonization of words and the result. Another phenominon is the gulability of the human race. I appreciate and agree 100% with your take on this matter. Unfortunatly in your last paragraph you use the word; “democracy.” That’s another word that has been demonized. Due to the last American administration of Cheny and his puppet Bush who wanted to build “democracy” by invading Iraq, the word now rings evil with many who feel it is their duty to disagree with the government no matter who is in power. These fools will embrace any movement that is contrary to what the reasonable people of America want.

Up until 1976, homosexuality was considered a mental illness. It was listed under the “paraphilias” category. What has this got to do with the protest? Simple: Shariah law calls for DEATH to homosexuals. And yet here we have the “gay capital” of the United States hosting a parade which is in support of a terrorist organization (Hamas) which recently voted (2007) to include Shariah in it’s legal construction. Christians can now be crucified in Palestine. Homosexuals, hung or, as they did in Morocco many years back, “thrown from the highest pinnacle”. You have to be somewhat mentally ill to support a group (Hamas) that calls for your own destruction! Yet here they are: in our face.

Israel, on the other hand, supports the rights of homosexuals. They aren’t screened out of military service. They aren’t punished by law. Homosexual couples enjoy the same status under Israeli law as do heterosexual couples.

And yet Israel is the terrorist??????

I also wonder about self-loathing Jews who support Hamas as well.

Some will say “they’re not supporting Hamas, they’re supporting Palestinians.” Really? Then why were there no flags nor banners calling for Hamas to get the hell out of the Gaza? After all, the Gazan people were intimidated into voting for Hamas, so we’re told.

Gaza: UN says Hamas seized food aid and blankets

    02/04/2009 4:38:19 AM
By DIAA HADID Associated Press Writer
Hamas police in Gaza seized thousands of blankets and food parcels meant for needy residents, a U.N. spokesman said Wednesday, threatening to fracture relations between the international agency that cares for most of Gaza’s residents and the territory’s militant rulers.

Hamas policemen forcibly broke into an aid warehouse in Gaza City on Tuesday evening and confiscated 3,500 blankets and over 4,000 food parcels, said Christopher Gunness, a spokesman for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency.

Gunness said the incident was “absolutely unacceptable.”

He said police confiscated aid meant for 500 families after U.N. officials refused to voluntarily hand it over to the Hamas-run Ministry of Social Affairs. Similar U.N. aid packages had already been distributed to 70,000 residents over the past two weeks.

Ahmad Kurd, the Hamas Minister of Social Affairs, did not deny the seizure of the aid Wednesday. He charged the U.N. was giving the aid to local groups with ties to Hamas opponents.

“UNRWA did not do what it said it would do, and began distributing its aid to groups that tie their activities to political activism,” Kurd said.

Israeli officials have charged in the past that the militant group routinely confiscates aid meant for needy Gazans, but Gunness said this was the first time Hamas had seized its goods since taking control of the territory in 2007.

The U.N. agency provides food, education and health care services to more than half of Gaza’s 1.4 million residents.

Hamas is under pressure to provide aid to Gazans, who are facing more hardship than ever since Israel’s devastating three-week military offensive, which ended Jan. 18. The operation, aimed at halting rocket fire from the territory, killed hundreds of civilians and left thousands destitute after their homes were damaged or destroyed.

Tensions between Hamas and the U.N. could make it difficult for the international agency to continue providing desperately needed services.

Some international donors had expressed concern that funds meant to rebuild Gaza could fall into Hamas’ hands, and the U.N. had been trying to assuage those concerns.

The United Nations is expected to take a leading role in rebuilding Gaza, because Israel and the international community will not deal with Hamas.

These are rights that exist in Israel and nowhere else in the Middle East. So why is it that the country that is most sympathetic to progressive values gets the least of progressive sympathies?”

it is therefore very strange that, because of their rabid anti Israel views, these progressives have turned into apologists for Islamic fundamentalists (such as hamas and hezbollah) who loath and despise every progressive belief that these folks hold dear.

if peace were ever to exist, palestine or even worse the “one state solution” (which would result in the demographic destruction of the state of israel) would be just another arab cesspool, where women are despised and oppressed, other religions disrespected (and forbidden) and gay people murdered.

in Israel gay marriage is already recognized and NOW,
Overseas adoptions by gay couples get OK from Israel
    United Press International (4/25)

To support the Palestinian Cause is to be anti women, anti gay and anti democracy.

Finally, To focus so much attention on the Palestinians at the expense of the genocide in Darfur (Muslim killing Muslim), the Muslim on Muslim violence in Iraq, the executions of Muslim gay teens in Iran, the violence towards women in Iran–(just for showing their hair), the sentences of stoning or beatings for rape victims in both Nigeria and Saudi Arabia (where woman are also forbidden to drive), The burning to death of young girls in a school in Saudi Arabia, as the religious police would not allow male fireman to save them, because the girls were not wearing their burkahs, the epidemic of honor killings by brothers and fathers of young girls in both Britain, Canada and Turkey is not only morally reprehensible but indefensible.

May all who wish to live in gaza, go there. May all the jews who think that Israel is wrong live in southern Israel and be bombed by hamas rockets. We give too much freedom to people in America. They call themselves Jews but do not know the meaning of the consept of being Jewish. I feel sorry for them, but do not want to live anywhere near them, because I might have to defend them some day and I can not support stupid people. I do not spell well but be assured that I did not capitalize gaza or hamas for a reason. These symbols have not earned a Capital letter, nor do they deserve any respect from people with any inteligence. What did Jesus say,” forgive them Father for they know not what they do”, or something like that.May the people marching enjoy their time on earth, for there will be no here-after for them. If you people want to educate yourselves, go to Out Of Zion website & check out the history of these people you are sooooooo against. Check out true history infor. & get informed. here’s some educational info. for you; ” Do you people really think that Gaza is arab land ? If it’s arab land how is it that it’s real name is Judea & Samaria, 3200 year old Hebrew names from the Bible ? And does the fact that the tombs of the Jewish patriach’s are located there in Hebron, in the heart of Samaria ? The Palestinian people is a recent invention that didn’t even exist prior to the 6 day war of 1967. Prior to that event the only people who were called Palestinian were the Jews who lived in that area. Even though entitled to, Israel is not occupying the Gaza Strip. Not one Jewish person has lived inside the Gaza Strip since the withdrawal in 2005 ! Even though the Jews gave the entire Gaza Strip over to the Arabs, almost immediately the rockets (more than 6,000 in the last 3 yrs.) began to fly out of the Strip into nearby Israeli towns. What about Israel’s patience that it showed ? Why didn’t people protest Hamas for firing rockets killing Jewish women & children ?” Hamas refuses a cease fire. Hamas is an extreme paramilitary, political group bent on destroying the Jewish state & replacing it w an islamic one. Arabs screaming foul play against Israel defending itself now, after all this time ? Give me a break. The Palestinians aid money was stolen by hamas to support their cont. bombing & killing spree. The food meant for the Palestinian people was eaten by hamas, the medicals supplies meant for the Palestinian people was used by hamas. The root of the violence has always been the muslim arabs refusal to accept the right of the Jewish state to truly exist. The world sat watching the murder of thousands of Jews by the nazis. Like America is allowing our tax dollars to pay for the murder of babies here & looking to use our tax dollars in other countries to support murder of babies there too. Yeh, I’m talking abortion ! You people need to wake up.

Interesting to see the convergence of communists and jihadists, but that is the new trend in the blending of one form of extremism with the others.
We have the Stalinists of the Workers World Party and its fronts, IAC (International Action Center, ANSWER, and its split off party of “Party of Liberation and Socialism”” the old Trotskyite phone book party of the Spactacists and their youth arm, and other similarly named splinter groups.

I hope that you sent several sets of these photos to the local police department’s intelligence unit (in SF that might be an oxymoron, any District Attorney who is not a member of the Communist Party like Terence Hallinan was, the local and national FBI offices, the Dept. of Homeland Security (another oxymoron), and the major Jewish organizations in SF and their national headquarters, esp. ADL (not that they will do much anymore; not like the old days when we could kick ass by exposure).

What you have in these photos is a great collection of Fifth Columnists terrorists supporters, not just against Israel, but potentially against the US.

It is very important that these faces in the photos be identified and listed online along with the photos they are in, and then sent out to Jewish groups all across America and legitimate groups who study terrorism in the US and abroad (i.e. the Investigative Terrorism Project, Robert Spencer, etc).

While the protest may have had only 2-3,000 protesters, many of them are just fanatical/crazy enough to be potential or actual terrorists, aimed at both Jewish and general American targets in the US. I’d like to know how many of them are US citizens, legal alien residents, legal alien students, or illegal aliens from Moslem countries.

The Anarchists are the insane scum of the protest world, and have been, in the past, extremely violent and dangerous.

I’m sure that our new Attorney General Eric Holder will be keeping good surveillance on these real or potential threats to America and her citizens. NOT!

SF Jews – you are on your own. Nobody gives a shit about you and your safety despite the nice words the politicians and police say to you. Remember, SF is Marxism -Central for the US, as well as the open-air insane asylum for the weird of our society (I’m not against weird people per say – I have many politicians in my area). But there are enough certifiable nuts running around and running SF so as to make it a dangerous city for Jews and conservatives.

Only after the first death of a Jewish citizen by one of these Hamas/Hezbullah supporting groups, or their communist allies, will you wake up to what is going on. I’ve been thru this before and see the same signs I saw in the past.

The police will not and cannot protect you. There is no JDL that can protect you, and nobody with the guts to do it for you, except yourselves. The Jew is on his/her own, and had better be prepared for all situations. If you have never received a death threat against yourself and your family (ours came from a drug dealer), then you have no idea how incompetent the police will be when you ask for help and protection. We protected ourselves, found a few friends in other law enforcement agencies (I work for one), and took care of matters in a professional way. The punk was captured by a relentless manhunt by myself and one other policeperson, and he was extradited to another state where a cell was waiting for him. My own jurisdiction wouldn’t prosecute him for threatening to kill 5 people. See what I mean?

My son was away at military training or he would have gone midieval on the punk when he got back. We got him before then. I didn’t want to have to pay for more ammunition. Nuff said?

You have seen the face of your enemy and the hatred that is on it. It is aimed at you, and someday they will strike without mercy. They do it to the Israelis so why not other Jews? They hate you just like the Nazis and will act like the Nazis. My family learned this during the Holocaust which is why I have no relatives in Europe.

    Never again!

I appreciate your coverage of these rallies. Here in the UK there were numerous pro Palestine marches, and several turned violent, with not only Jews but also police coming under attack.

It’s alarming that so many people are contented with MISinformation.

For instance: the word ‘zionist’ is constantly being misdefined and then condemned on that – false – basis.

zionist = person who recognises the right of Israel TO EXIST.

Nobody has a problem with the existence of TWENTY TWO Islamic nations, despite the fact that they are theocracies in which the most terrible abuses of women and children occur.

But woe betide anyone who supports the existence of ONE tiny Jewish state. Suddenly we are ‘zionists’ and this has, so sadly, become a dirty word.

Israel begged the international community for eight years to intervene and help her stop the Hamas terrorist attacks. Eight YEARS.

The world did not give a damn.

The British media totally ignored the hundreds of Hamas suicide bombings that claimed the lives of Israeli civilians. They ignored all the missile attacks also.

Yet when Israel finally *responded* the British media went MAD. Every front page, every leader column, every headline – all crammed with condemnation of Israel.

    The hypocrisy is staggering.

Hamas targets civilians. Consistently. Consciously. Cruelly. It is as simple as that.

Israel killed 1300 people in Gaza. Around 76% of those were HAMAS TERRORISTS. If Israel had wanted to do ‘ethnic cleansing’ or ‘genocide’ as so many wrongly state, then she COULD have – by just going in and levelling Gaza. It would certainly have reduced the number of Israeli soldiers that were killed and injured.

Instead, Israel spent a year gathering intelligence, so she could then target Hamas munitions warehouses and factories etc.

What people don’t realise is that Israel is in the front line of the war on terrorism. Everyone who values democracy should be supporting her – not condemning her.

If all of these supporters of their beloved Hamastan were actually present in Gaza during Israel’s recent incursion, they likely would not be holding up the vile signs; instead, they would be held up themselves as human shields with their heroes shooting at Israeli army (IDF)from behind their behinds.

They would also soon realize that it was their blessing that the army they were forced to face as unarmed civilians was IDF and not a Hamas-like entity with guns and no conscience – if it was the latter they would all be dead ducks.

Frightening as it is, we must realise these thousands do not represent the majority view of (in the UK) 70 MILLION, and judging from polls in your country, neither the USA. In a little apartment building in Brooklyn live two elderly widows, Mrs. Israel and Mrs. Palestinian. Mrs. Israel still drives. She has an old Toyota her late husband Manny left her. Mrs. Palestinian does not drive nor does she have a car. When Mrs. Israel goes out to the store she usually asks Mrs. Palestinian if she needs anything. Mrs. Palestinian will say she could use a quart of milk or a loaf of bread etc. And, Mrs. Israel will pick it up for her. When Mrs. Israel drops off the item she picked up, Mrs. Palestinian will ask, “What do I owe you?” More often than not Mrs. Israel will say, “It’s on me, forget about it. Thank God, Manny left me well taken care of.”

This goes on for years. At least once a week Mrs. Israel picks up something from the market for Mrs. Palestinian and refuses to let Mrs. Palestinian pay her for it. Always saying, “Thank God, I can afford it.” Or some such phrase. Now you would think Mrs. Palestinian would be grateful and consider Mrs. Israel’s generosity just that, the generous gesture of a good neighbor. But, Mrs. Palestinian has some friends living in the building who keep filling her mind with negative thoughts about Mrs. Israel.

“She’s so hoity-toity. Who does she think she is just because her husband left her with a car and money” And, “Why is she always thanking God? Don’t we have a God also? “She thinks God only loves her and God chose her to be special.”

After years of this constant bombardment of negative opinions from her other neighbors Mrs. Palestinian began to resent Mr. Israel more and more. Mrs. Palestinian begins to do little passive aggressive acts against Mrs. Israel. When she takes her garbage to the incinerator chute she purposely drops a few egg shells or coffee grounds in front of Mrs. Israel’s door. One evening she steels Mrs. Israel’s door matt and shoves it down the incinerator chute. These incidents escalate. Mrs. Palestinian’s other neighbors join her in her quest to make Mrs. Israel so miserable she will want to move out of the building.

But, Mrs. Israel loves the apartment. She moved in as a young married lady with her husband Manny, when she was pregnant with her first child Elizabeth. Liz now has three children of her own and lives in New Jersey with her husband Max, a very successful dentist. Liz would like her mother to move to a retirement community near them but Mrs. Israel wants to live out her days in the apartment she loves in Brooklyn.

Mrs. Israel knows something is going on with her neighbors. She is not blind to the nasty things that happen to her belongings. Several times when she goes back to the laundry room to switch her wash from the washer to the dryer, she finds her wet clothes thrown on the floor in a dirty corner of the room. Once when she went down to the building’s garage she found her car all scratched and dented.

But through it all she is still nice to her neighbor Mrs. Palestinian. Then one day as she was leaving to visit Liz and her grandchildren she remembered she wanted to bring them some groceries so she could help Liz cook a traditional Shabbas meal. She took her little grocery cart with her to carry the food from the store to her car. As she was walking down the hall to the building’s tiny, creaking elevator, Mr. Palestinian opened her door to leave her apartment. “Well Tillie” said Mrs. Palestinian “You’re going shopping, and you didn’t ask me if I needed anything? What’s the matter? Are you getting to fancy to help out your poor neighbor anymore?”

“First of all Bella, I’m not going shopping, I’m going to visit Liz and the kids. And secondly I don’t pick up stuff for you because you’re poor, it’s because you are my neighbor. You’ve lived next door to me for 45 years.”

“That’s another thing Tillie. That apartment should belong to my niece Shashira she needs the space. You have three bedrooms and it’s only you alone.” Shashira has four kids and she’s pregnant again.”

“What do you mean it should belong to Shashira? By the way I thought her name was Susanne.”

“She calls herself Shashira now, it’s her Islamic name. And, it should belong to her because when you took over that apartment you took it away from my family, my grandmother, Allah rest her soul, had that apartment and it should have gone to my sister Shashira’s mother.”

“What do you mean by, I took it away? I rented that apartment from a newspaper add just like the way you got yours. And, if memory serves me right, you sister was living in Manhattan with that rich jewelry salesman from Persia, she didn’t want to live here in Brooklyn.”

“Well when he left her she had to move in with my mother in the Bronx.
And you stole the apartment right out from under her.”

“I did not! When I got this apartment in 1969 Susanne or Shakkazooloo or whatever she calls herself now was 2 years old! I was already here, fare and square.”

It was now out in the open. Mrs. Palestinian resented and was jealous of Mrs. Israel. Mrs. Israel simply went about her business as usual, just feeling sad that a long time neighbor and assumed friend really hated her so much.

But, Mrs. Palestinian was not satisfied with business as usual. Constantly being fed negative ideas by her other neighbors, she escalated her little war on Mrs. Israel. Turning her face away when they met in the hall, spitting large blobs of saliva on Mrs. Israel’s door each time she passed. She began dropping more and more of her garbage in front of Mrs. Israel’s door, and, other nasty, hateful acts.

The final straw came in early November. Mrs. Israel had a cat. Chachka was a grey tabby Mrs. Israel had found in a basket of clothes in the laundry room in 1995. She loved the animal as if it were one of her children. With her kids living so far away, Liz in New Jersey and her son, Robert living in New Mexico, Chachka was the recipient of all of her motherly affection. On November 20, 2008, a Thursday, Mrs. Israel couldn’t find Chachka. The cat was an “indoor” cat but had the run of the building. Everyone at 1220 Ocean Parkway new Chachka and they all knew how much Tillie Israel loved her. Mrs. Israel searched every corner of the building from the dank cellar to the tar papered roof. Chachka was gone! Tillie was heart broken. But, life must go on, so Mrs. Israel proceeded to do her usual Thursday chores. She took her basket of bedding and towels down to the building’s laundry room, the same place she had found Chachka thirteen years ago. She lifted the lid on the coin operated washer and let out a scream that could be heard to the building’s top floor, four stories above. There in the bottom of the washer was the wet, limp body of her beloved Chachka. The cat was dead. Scrawled on the inside of the washing machine lid in bright, blood-red lipstick was a swastika and a note, GET OUT JEW!”

Mrs. Israel had seen this same handwriting many times before during her 45 years in the building. On Christmas cards, on congratulatory notes when her children were born and on a sympathy card when her beloved Manny passed away. She immediately recognized it as the writing of Mrs. Palestinian.

Mrs. Israel broke. The harassment of her neighbors and Mrs. Palestinian in particular had gone on, unanswered for almost a year now. Still clutching her gallon bottle of Clorox in her hand, she bypassed the elevator and climbed the two flights of worn granite steps and marched purposefully to Mrs. Palestinian’s door. Tillie beat on the door with her clenched fist, the bleach bottle still in the other hand. She was screaming at the top of her lungs, “Get out here you mother-fucking bitch.” Mrs. Palestinian opened the door with a sardonic smile of self satisfaction on her face. She was happy that she had “gotten” to Mrs. Israel like this. The old Jewish hag with her hoity-toity ways and her car and rich son-in-law in New Jersey deserved to suffer.

The half full gallon jug of Clorox hit Mrs. Palestinian in the side of her head sending the woman’s head crashing into the steel door frame of her apartment. A sickly cracking sound erupted from her head along with an explosion of blood. Mrs. Palestinian dropped to the floor in a pile of rumpled housecoat and blood ironically matching the color of her washing machine note.

Mrs. Palestinian’s funeral was attended by two thousand Brooklyn Moslems. Her casket, draped in a Palestinian flag was carried through the streets of the neighborhood to the funeral parlor on Coney Island Avenue. Local Islamic clerics made speeches about how poor old Mrs. Palestinian was murdered because she followed Allah, and how she had been treated so poorly by her (Jewish) neighbors. She was lauded as a great woman of Brooklyn society who had lived a good honest Islamic life amongst people (Jews) who hated and mistreated her. And, worst of all, the clerics called for all followers of Allah to rise up and “protect” themselves from the evil hands of “others who hate them” (the Jews).

Mrs. Israel had been taken by the Police in handcuffs. She was arraigned in Brooklyn Superior Court. Her court appointed lawyer pleaded for her to be released to the custody of her daughter Elizabeth, who sat behind Mrs. Israel in the courtroom with a tear soaked tissue in her hand. Her lawyer stated that Mrs. Israel was over 70 years old and in poor health. When he tried to tell the judge what had exacerbated the action by Mrs. Israel, the killing of her cat, the Assistant District Attorney, Mr. Rashid Falowy objected vehemently charging that to “Mrs. Israel, a cat was more important than the life of an honorable Islamic woman.” And, adding that this “was a hate crime not a crime of passion.”

Judge William Chen agreed with the ADA Falowy and remanded Mrs. Israel to Riker’s Island. He did concede to Mrs. Israel’s lawyer’s request to have her put in the prison psych ward for evaluation. Through all of this Mrs. Israel stood staring blankly into space. She stiffly walked, being led by a court bailiff out of the room, her daughter Liz crying hysterically.

The block of Ocean Parkway where the building at 1220 stands was renamed Bella Palestinian Way and a plaque with her likeness in bronze was placed in the lobby of the building. The Islamic population of Brooklyn still mourns the loss of this scion of Brooklyn Islamic Society and still harbors resentment and surreptitiously seeks revenge for her death.

If we could learn to live together then a lot of the social ills that plague our society would be gone. What happened to the love of your fellow man? This is so sad. I am really distressed by it. One thing that irks me is the way many people are so gullible to whatever they hear. This problem extends beyond the subject here (Arab v Jew), I have heard people on the Right saying that the economic problem is all because of the greed of the American people. And most of all by people who bought houses that were way beyond their means. The right-wing talk show hosts like to say that these people (the people loosing their houses to forclosure) deserve to suffer because they bought in over their heads. And the people who listen to Rush Limbaug et al believe this and pass it on. But wait a minute. Was that the only reason? What about the following scenerio that I am going through…

Seven years ago my wife and I (both in our 50′s) bought a house in a middle income suburb of NYC for $350,000. We put down around $150,000.00 and have a $200,000 + mortgage. The thought being that real estate always goes up and in about 10 years we could sell the house for a nice profit and retire to Florida or Arizona or some other warm place. For a while it looked like it was working out. Houses in our neighborhood went up to around $500,000. WOW! we can sell our house, pay off the mortgage and have $300,000 to buy a house for much less and retire.

Then the real estate buble burst and now we would be lucky if our house would sell for what we paid. BUT, we still have the $200,000 mortgage. We still have our jobs (thank God) and we pay the mortgage payments. But now were both in our 60′s and we can’t retire. IF (a BIG IF) we could get $350,000 for our house, after paying off the mortgage where could we go and buy a place and have anything left to live on? We’re stuck here till one of us dies. Because if one of us gets too old or sick to work or we loose a job we couldn’t pay the mortgage here.

We are honest, hard working, tax paying citizens. Yet, if we lost our house, a Rush Limbaugh “ditto-head” would say we deserve to suffer because we should have not bought over our heads, we were “greedy.”

This is the same kind of thing affecting self-hating Jews who buy into this “Zionism = Nazism” bullshit. They hear it from the mouths of people they believe in and repeat it till others believe it also. It’s very “in” to be for the “underdog” so the Arabs are very effective at making themselve look like they are suffering. The ass-holes who buy it don’t stop to think beyond what they hear, that the “suffering” “Palastinians” are making their own suffering happen just to get public support and money for thier cause.

Who or what part of our American government allowed these sick demented muslim sandflea dirty asses into our clean country? Find who allowed muslims to enter this country and put them on a plane and deposit their asses in the Gaza strip with water guns.
I for one don’t trust any muslim. They should have stayed in their country in the first place and tried to make it a better place to live in but no, the violent twisted soles live here, pray here, isolate their communities from us and keep their world secret.
Why can’t we round them up, one and all and ship them back to any muslim country that will accept them. If no one will accept them then we simply push them out the doorway of the airplane and hope their chutes open. Just kidding…

Next we go after the cubans who arrived here via rafts, boats or smuggled here during the 80′s and all up to today who did not arrive via a passport or visa. Don’t forget all the mexican illegals who are sucking our econemy dry due to medical, housing, school space and everything else they take for free.

I worked hard for my retirement but because of illegals, terrorists, lazy Americans, the cubal invasion, mexican invasion etc. I now have to suffer. Screw them all!
Finally, if any of the above break the law, deport them ASAP. If it be an American, shoot em. ha

Our government is weak, incompetant and is not ready for a muslim/hispanic takeover within a few years down the road. Look what the cubans did to the blacks in miami. Pushed them out of every job held for years.
Now the cubans are protesting everything they can and instead of being grateful they act like we owe them a living.

Muslims are different. They sit quietly on the side lines and when they have enough people of “voting agr” they will attack our form of government and take over all they can, legally. another big ha…

Americans should DEMAND that ENGLISH remain the ONLY language written, spoken or allowed in American government at all levels. That would be a beginning…

WOW Anonymous, you sound really pissed off!
I understand your pain and anger. But please don’t be trapped into acting just like the Arab bastards in the photos above. Many groups came here in years past, the Irish, the Italians, the East European Jews. They all came here and WANTED to fit in and be Americans. They left their old countries and embrased America as their home. I feel the problem started in the 60′s when the idea of holding on to your herritage became a big deal. Suddenly every black kid born got an African sounding name. The TV stations rushed to put black and spanish newscasters on TV and we got things like Black History Month. This stuff is not all bad, but somewhere along the line the trend went too far. It got to the point where instead of being proud of your own herritage, hating the American culture became the thing to do. I am hoping that by electing an African American President it might show these people what America is all about, inclusivness. President Obama is very proud to be an American and says it over and over again. I’m hoping this may become a trend and loving our country and what it stands for is accepted.

  283. 283Anonymous on Feb 12, 2009 at 5:32 pm:

This demonstration of the Palestinians only shows me the extent of anti semitism there is. 8 years of rockets AIMED at children, hospitals and citizens, in southern Israel. There aim was to see as much blood shed as possible. Israel after so much of being bullied FINALLY DEFENDED themselves, and at the cost of losing soldiers tried only to get the terrorist that were rocketing them. The palestinians house these terrorist and their goals of killing Israeli citizens are equal. The NERVE of these Gaza people to demonstrate against Israel when they are housing terrorist to kill intentionally the Israli citizens. Does it make sense that they should just allow their citizens to take this abuse and let people die? The Palesinians also celebrated on their roof tops and gave out candy bags when the twin towers were burning down and thousands of innocent people were dying. They burn the american flag as well. and they terrorize anyone who does not want to accept the moslem religion. On a one on one basis they give the illusion of being so nice, but as a whole, they are murderers and even to their own. they use their own people as human shields. Anyone who does not know how violent and blood thirsty these Hamas and palestinians that house them, are, are just plain anti semites, and I will end this comment with one sentence. ” Behold, the G_d of Israel does not sleep, and protects Israel.” The Jewish State is a peace loving state. Look how they treat their animals. like their citizens. All the animals are well taken care of. Go to these arabic states and see how they throw poison to their cats and dogs. They are so cruel. Anyone who has any inteliigence knows how Israel tried to help not only the palestinians, but whoever is in trouble. Israel also warned america about the 911, but no one believed that these innocent freedom fighters would do this.and this is nothing to the hate and violence that they are capable of. People of the world . stand up for Israel and RIGHT. Not the terrorist that destroyed our twin towers and deliberately want to kill. Stand up for Israel!!!!!!

What about the woman activates for womans rights? Woman being stoned without a trial, not being allowed to use birth control. the woman having 0 rights. And where are all these activists? Did they just suddenly die? Did they forget the movie “not without my child” How can anyone think to equate a kind loving country that only wants peace and the motto is “live and let live” to natzism.? Does anyone know what Natzism is? they starved and burned people alive? The citizens of Germany that were Jewish were the most prominint and upstanding citizens. Where they like the hamas that threw rockets aimed to kill innocent civilians? The people that were killed by the natzis, were upstanding citizens that would serve their country and inventors of so many medical problems,. and they were tortured, starved, experiments done on them, and then burned alive- INTENTIALLY. And if you look at this anti semetic demonstration, there is only one normal demonstrator, and the police tell him to leave…..what does this tell you?? If it was a moslem, that one person would never be told to leave. My daughter went to Kean university, She is married and wears a kercheif on her head, When she needed to take a campus picture, she was told she needed to remove the kercheif. She told them it is a religous reason and she is forbidden to remove it in public. They were fighting with her, until a Gentile came along and said, “if this was a moslem, you would not say a word to her” and then they left her alonel Where are the defenders for what is right? This is a faith that only promotes hatred. As Brigette Gabriel, a highly outspoken American Lebanese says. where are the Mulsims willing to stand up and separate themselves form the extremist rhetoric??? Where are they, – they DON’T exist, because this is a religion that teaches hatred and intolerance! If America and the rest of the world doesn’t wake up we will be swallowed up by this, as is happening in Europe! We have built our countries on acceptance and respect of each others differences, only to have it spoiled by the “peace seeking” Muslims – as if they exist! In every country as the Muslim population increases so does the political unrest and violence. coincidence, I don’t think so. The facts speak for themselves. C’mon. Wake dafreak up. Yes, War Sucks. Who started it? Clearly, Israel has a mission. Get the people of Gaza to realize that their leaders, Hamas, are the CAUSE of the Israeli attacks . Attacks aimed at stopping the missles from being lobbed at them from Hamas. How hard is this to understand?

What are they supposed to do? Ask nice? Once the people of the region “get it”. And they no longer put up with Hamas attacking Israel, then Israel will likely stop . THEY JUST WANT TO BE LEFT THE FREAK ALONE TO LIVE IN THEIR LAND. HOW HARD IS THIS TO UNDERSTAND? Think about it. Mexico lobs a missle at California! Do we ask nice to stop? And if they don’t? We do what? I think that when dealing with uneducated, war like enemies , born , bred and trained to hate and destroy you – you develop a hardness and a survival instinct. And you survive.

HAMAS – STOP. STOP TEACHING AND PREACHING AND EXECUTING HATE . THEN GAZA WILL BE SAFE. IT IS UP TO YOU. STOP. Of course you know this. Yet, you would rather your people die so that you can use those deaths to instigate more of what you are and do. Hate. Attack. Well, then you will get more of what you got. JUST STOP. Babies are not born to hate. They are carefully taught. When a young child is given a gun instead of a legitimate textbook, when he is taught songs and rhymes and expletives against others, how can he not grow up to hate people who he is taught are against him? Where is the money that was given to Arafat for his country? Does it reside in Paris with his wife and spent for weapons and instruments of war? That money, in the many millions, was supposed to go for the development of the so-called Palestinians. But it never was. Palestine is still getting lots of money from other countries, and what are they doing with it? Why is is said that Palestinians are living in poverty when they are handed all that money? If your country was being bombarded by rockets, thousands of them, for years, what would you do about it? Just grin and bear it? If your relatives were blown up in buses, cafes, on the street, etc., what would you do about it? Would you say it’s OK because they were just a few people? How much would you take before you defended yourself? How often have the Palestinians warned the Israelis in advance before shooting their rockets into settlements, killing innocent people? Do Israeli soldiers hide behind civilians so there might be less likelihood that they will be attacked? Can an Israeli, if wounded by Palestinians, be given medical aid in their hospitals. Palestinians are given such aid in Israeli hospitals. And if you say that Palestine has no hospitals, read again what I have stated about their being given millions of dollars for the development of their country, and it is spent for weapons instead. Who is to blame for the sad state of affairs among them except for themselves? I have almost no optimism that this horrible situation will be resolved someday. It will take many clear-headed people to be able to stop this craziness and start teaching babies how to make peace. Generations, unfortunately.

I am not surprised by the rally, a parade of misfits…misinformed (seemingly or intentionally), somewhat confused/conflicted, anti-American, anti-Judeo-Christian, democracy-abusers…each group wants a different outcome and is united by a chance to demonstate and voice their agendas. It takes a long time to build up a successful culture, like a beautiful building but a very short time to destroy it. These demonstrators would love to do it but we can’t let them…not here or anywhere that is vital to our existance.
Your commentary and photos were great…I believe there are many proud and fair-minded Americans who will not be taken in or intimidated by these dangerous agitators, useful idiots, traitors, Islamic fascists and the many in the media who are all too willing to aid and abet. I wonder where we will draw the line because the other side is always pushing that line further left and away from our ideals.
An important thing to remember is that while HAMAS was elected (under what conditions???) that will be the LAST election in Gaza…they voted away their democracy and elected a gang of thugs, while giving the Gazans some social services also uses them as human shields…and please don’t forget all the UNWRA money, food and services given since 1949. Millions to Gaza and what do they have to show for it…not to mention all the other donations over the last 60 years. But the greatest donations must be from Iran (via China) all the thousands of missiles used to attack Israeli towns . Israel received no aid from the UN like that but it built itself up to a $150 billion economy today, more that all its bordering Arab countries combined with NO OIL…and they all want to destroy this tiny democracy bedcause they hate it, fear it and are jealous of it.
Again, I’m not surprised nobody protested the 7,000+ rockets that fell on civilian areas…they protest only the Israeli response…speaking of Fascism that was a Nazi ploy…always blame the victim!

I can only theorize that they are ignorant of the facts. And it’s a shame. If they knew what they were speaking for, they would surely be ashamed of themselves.

After feeling angry, I felt sad at the ignorance of people. Maybe this is in a small part also our fault – Israel – our lack of understanding of the value of public relations. But then again Hate has always been part of mankinds defence against what he does not understand. Thanks you for your effort and I am mailing this on to as many people as possible. Carry on.

As an Israeli I want to know do the protesters have any idea of the absolute paradox they seems to be embroiled in.
Sad that they cannot get it straight??
Hamas-neither secular or democratic and socialist???? Do they actually have an inkling of what the middle east is about.
They should thank their lucky stars that they live in the USA they couldnt protest like this in an arab country.

The following is taken from “The world after September 11″ by – Mansoor Hekmat – Sept – Oct 2001

    Two Reactionary Camps

The appalling September 11, 2001 terrorist crimes against humanity and the slaughter of thousands of innocent people in America has pushed the world to the brink of one of the darkest and bloodiest eras of contemporary history. What the American administration calls an international war on terrorists is in fact the world’s entry into a new and destructive phase in the international war of terrorists.

At opposing poles of this bloody conflict stand the two main international camps of terrorism, which have left their bloody mark on the lives of two generations. At one pole, there stands the most enormous machinery of state terrorism and international intimidation and blackmail. This camp includes the American government and ruling elite, the only force, which has used nuclear bombs against people, reducing hundreds of thousands of innocent and unsuspecting people of Hiroshima and Nagasaki into ashes within seconds. A state that slaughtered millions in Vietnam and razed and ruined their country for many years by chemical bombardments. It includes NATO and coalitions of Western governments who from Iraq to Yugoslavia, have destroyed people’s homes, schools and hospitals and have taken ransom the bread and medicine of millions of children. It includes the Israeli bourgeoisie and state. They occupy, seize, slaughter and deprive. They bomb and shell refugee camps and shoot scared ten-year-old children taking shelter in their fathers’ arms and at school gates. From Hiroshima and Vietnam to Grenada and Iraq, from the killing fields in Indonesia and Chile to the slaughterhouses of Palestine, the track record of this international pole of state terrorism and imperialist intimidation is obvious and irrefutable for all the world to see.

At the opposing pole, there stands Islamic terrorism and the reactionary and vile political Islam. These forces that were once created and nurtured by America and the West themselves during the Cold War as a means of organising indigenous reaction against the Left in Middle Eastern societies, have now become an active pole of international terrorism and one contender in the bourgeois power struggle in the Middle East. The murderous history of political Islam, from Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan to Algeria and Palestine includes a long list of genocide and appalling crimes. From state and state sponsored killings in Iran and Afghanistan to the daily crimes of Islamic terror squads in Israel, Algeria and the heart of Europe and America, from the bloody suppression of political and intellectual opponents to imposing reactionary and anti-human Islamic laws on people, particularly women, from Islamic beheadings and mutilations, to planting bombs and mass murder in buses, cafés and discothèques – these are the highlights in the track record of these reactionaries

Now, this conflict is going to take hundreds of thousands and probably millions of other victims in Afghanistan tomorrow and in any other corner of the world the day after. This must be resisted.

    War Propaganda

Along with this military alignment, we are witnessing the ideological and propaganda alignment of the two camps. Piercing and tearing down this propaganda wall and pulling the truth out from beneath the massive wave of hypocrisy and deceit, which will engulf the world is the first condition of organising an independent rank of freedom-loving humanity against the terrorists’ world war.

The ideological banner of extremists in both camps is clearly visible and recognisable from afar. Today’s complex world no longer has time for these coarse views. Western and American flag waving and jingoism, racism, the ‘clash of civilisations’ garbage and such like may only have an effect on the margins of Western society. Western governments and media know that these crude and primitive views and opinions cannot form the ideological and propaganda framework for the conflict they have entered into. In the opposing camp, too, the idea of Islamic Crusade (Jihad), indiscriminate bloodletting, whether for the grace of god and religion, for the ‘liberation of Qods (Jerusalem) and the land of Islam from the claws of bloodsucking international Zionism and imperialism,’ only succeeds within the ranks of political Islam’s extremists and activists. It does not mobilise the masses of people in contemporary Middle Eastern society. The propaganda war and ideological battle dominating the impending bloody military conflict cannot be based on these openly extremist, sectarian and crude outlines. What can eventually draw the vast masses of people in the West and in the Middle East to this war and align them with the two sides of this reactionary hostility are not these primitive ideas but much more sophisticated rationalisations and justifications that are already gaining popularity.

In the Westerners’ formula, despite Bush’s cowboy gunslinger gestures, ‘civilised humanity’ is faced with the plague of terrorism. USA is portrayed as the leader of this civilised rank. The objective is to neutralise terrorism and bring terrorists to justice. The issue seems much simpler than the attack on Iraq and the bombing of Belgrade. Who can blame the US government in its military policy when 6,000 of ‘its people’ have been killed with such brutality? What is more obvious than the American government’s military action to smash this terrorism and protect ‘its citizens,’ and even the people of the world, against subsequent imminent crimes? This time, to be a member of ‘civilised’ humanity’s club, applicants need not have any ethnic, racial or religious qualifications. Applicants – of whatever colour, appearance, religion or background – need only to declare their support for America. This time, the war propaganda is not going to be racial, ethnic, religious or even political. The issue is not maintaining the flow of oil, defending the burgeoning democracy in Saudi Arabia and returning Kuwait to its sheikhs. If American military, once again dons its armour to repeat what it has done innumerable times, it is seemingly for the right to life, the right to travel, the right of people not to be blown up in their homes or on their streets. The crimes of September 11 have given the most powerful ideological and propaganda framework to date for USA and NATO’s military intervention in the furthest corners of the globe. At this moment, separating the masses of people in the West from the military policy of the ruling elite of these countries requires Herculean enlightening efforts. This ideological equilibrium could, indeed, change rapidly with new developments, but at this moment, the idea of the ‘war of civilised world against terrorism’ has put western politicians and media in full control of western public opinion.

In the opposing pole too, a sophisticated and relatively effective ideological framework in defence of political Islam and Islamic terrorism is taking shape. Not many dare to openly defend the slaughter of thousands of people in America. Even the beasts ruling over Iran and Afghanistan have had to restrain their words. Openly defending political Islam and Islamic terrorism will not be the propaganda banner of this pole. The Islamic side in the war of terrorists will rely on an effective but old formula for justification of Islamic terrorism, a formula which has been one of the foundations of petit-bourgeois ‘anti-imperialism’ in the Third World, particularly in the Middle East. Seven years ago, in the wake of a wave of Islamic murders in Israel, Egypt and Algeria, we clearly exposed and condemned this reactionary defence of terrorism in an editorial column of the journal ‘The International.’ It is not inappropriate to quote that short article here:
‘A wave of Islamic murders has engulfed the Middle East and North Africa. The victims of this wave are the most ordinary of ordinary people. In Egypt and Algeria, they shoot at and behead foreign nationals – be they workers, tourists or pensioners. They bomb and kill school children at school gates. They kill young girls who do not submit to forced marriages. In Tel Aviv, they murder unaware pedestrians – children, old and young – on streets and on buses. And heroically, from Israel to Algeria, they reassure a stunned humanity that this ‘armed struggle’ will continue.

‘There was a time when the traditional and ‘anti-imperialist’ Left would look upon the blind violence and unrestrained terrorism of Third World and anti-western currents if not with admiration then at least with toleration. In their opinion, the injustice suffered by deprived nations and oppressed people justified this terrorism as a legitimate reaction. The terrorism of Palestinian groups, Islamic organisations and the Irish Republican Army – whose victims were increasingly unprotected and unaware civilians – were prime examples of this ‘permissible’ terrorism in recent past. A terrorism, which seemingly responded to past and present injustices; a terrorism, which seemingly appeared as a reaction to the inhuman and brutal policies of oppressive powers and governments. Interestingly, throughout the years, the Israeli government has also used this exact abuse-excuse rationalization; that is by alluding to the indescribable genocide carried out by Nazis and anti-Semitic groups in various countries against the Jewish people, they have justified the brutal suppression of the deprived people of Palestine and the daily killings of Palestinian youth.

‘From a communist standpoint, this type of rationalisation and the blind terrorism erected on it in the Middle East – whether by Arab and Palestinian organisations or the state of Israel – is regarded as bankrupt and is condemned. There is not the slightest real and legitimate relationship between the appalling calamities that have befallen the Jewish people in this century and the suppression and crimes committed by the extremist right wing government in Israel against the Palestinians. There is not the slightest real and justified relationship between the sufferings of the deprived people of Palestine and the terrorism of Islamic or non-Islamic organisations attributed to these people. Bourgeois state and factions are exploiting and capitalising on the suffering of the deprived people. Condemning and eradicating this terrorism by the working class, particularly in countries of the region, is an essential condition for placing the workers in the leadership of the social struggle to end the age-old miseries of the people of the Middle East.

‘It seems the new wave of Islamic murders, particularly in North Africa does no longer even require such political justifications. A turban and a gun are sufficient to begin this despicable Jihad against humanity. This is Islamic gangsterism and its source is the ruling regime in Iran. And it will be in Iran where it will be smashed. (Mansoor Hekmat, The International, November 1994)’
With the intensification of this conflict and particularly with the imminent US and NATO attack on Afghanistan, the ‘anti-imperialist’ defence of Islamic groups and rationalisation of their terrorist actions by reference to Israel and America’s crimes and oppressive acts, can once again gain foothold among the people and political parties of the Middle East and also among sections of the traditional radical and intellectual Left of western societies. The main ideological refuge of Islamic gangsterism and Islamic reaction in this power struggle will not be the worn-out and openly anti-human religious and Islamic slogans, but rather the so-called ‘anti-imperialism’ of the religious-nationalist and petit bourgeois apologists.

No popular movement can succeed against the war of terrorists without exposing and breaking the ideological framework of this hypocritical war propaganda on both sides of this reactionary conflict.

    What is the Conflict Over?

For both sides, this is a power struggle. Terrorism is one reality of this conflict, but this conflict and the imminent war are not about terrorism. Everyone knows that US entry into Afghanistan and even Ben Laden’s arrest will not dampen the terrorist campaign by Islamic groups against the West, and will not bring more security to those who live in Europe and America. On the contrary, it will increase the danger. The Palestinian question is where America and the Islamic movement come directly face to face. But this conflict is also not really about the resolution of the Palestinian question. The declared policy of USA, that is a ‘massive, sustained and comprehensive’ military war will clearly exacerbate both issues – the Palestinian question and Islamic terrorism. Not only this, but also a possible civil war in Pakistan with serious regional and global consequences, and deep governmental crises in seemingly stable Middle Eastern countries could be the initial result of this military policy. They are well aware of this. Nonetheless, for USA, the main issue is the consolidation and expansion of its political and military hegemony and dominance over the world as the only superpower. The resolution of the Palestinian question or fighting Islamic terrorism is not the objective of this policy. Consolidation and expansion of America’s global position, within the context of pressures and opportunities created by the September 11 crimes is the main aim of this policy.

For the Islamists also, this is a power struggle. Neither the suffering of the people of Palestine nor the historical injustices of the West to the East are the source of this terrorism. The Islamic movement is striving to reverse its falling fortunes and ultimately to expand its position in the bourgeois power structure of the Middle East. Terrorism and blind enmity with anything that is Western or Westernised is their main political capital in a society and among a people who rightly see America and Israel as the main causes of their deprivation and rightlessness. Peace in the Middle East, the formation of an independent Palestine, the end of discrimination against the Palestinian people, will herald the demise of the Islamic movement in the Middle East. Terrorism is the Islamic movement’s main tool in further deepening the national, ethnic and religious splits in the Middle East and keeping alive this conflict as political capital and a source for its power. Despite the military pressure brought about by America, the Islamists will welcome this confrontation.

To form an independent popular movement against this unprecedented and deadly confrontation of international terrorist and military poles, the truth of these trends and events must be taken to the people. The war propaganda and rationalisations dished out by belligerent camps must be exposed. Events of September 11 and the policy being pursued by USA have important regional and global consequences. They will profoundly change the political and ideological complexion of the world. Politics in Iran will also be acutely influenced by these events. It is necessary to address the main issues in these developments and the fundamentals of a principled communist policy.

This blog made me laugh, so I thank you. You prod fun at all the protesters, repeatedly accusing anti-israeli groups of being pro-Hamas. That assumption is flawed almost beyond belief. The American Left does not support Hamas, nor does it support Israel. The vast majority of it supports peace and equality, as well as an end to all imperialist, capitalist exploitation. Both Israel and Hamas exploit the people, though Israel does it on a much larger scale because it has the resources and $30 billion US military aid funding to do so.

I need to cut myself short before I write to pages. So, in summary, Zionism is imperialism. Imperialism is capitalism. Capitalism is exploitation. Exploitation is unjust and must be rooted out and destroyed. Ignorance runs deep in this country….

I think it’s very frightening that such a large movement of sympathizers to such distorted logic even exists – let alone is demonstrating! No one – individual or country – should be “bullied” into bad publicity. If a child hit your child, would you encourage him to take it, and be a victim, or to “stand up” for themself? Would this “victim – your child” then be publicized as the “bad guy”? This is what is happening in this Middle East conflict. Hamas and Hesbollah are the BULLIES” – Israel is defending itself. And NOT with excessive force. This translates into what is being distorted in the media. Regardless of the “innocent civilian casualities” – and this is a TERRIBLE thing, HAMAS is responsible for bringing this upon the Palestinians, by starting and CONTINUING the rockets fired into Israel FIRST!!! They are not representing the Palestinians – they are representing themselves – a terrorist, bullying organization, who want to control every person in the world with their restrictive and rigid and aggressive value system!

Answer is full of big-time racist idiots. They are so cartoon-like, their facts and logic are so messed up. They have never acknowledged the harm Muslim fascists have done to Palestinian Christians and Palestinian gays, who all want to escape to Israel. If they like Hamas so much, they ought to leave our country and go live with them. At least the rest of us logical, intelligent people, Jewish and non-Jewish, would not have to listen to their annoying, whiney drivel and lies.

Those who don’t like this response can use their usual buzzwords like fascist, racist, ignorant; I really don’t care. I think the opposing side is only worthy to be laughed at, as those pro-Palestinian people are so stupid. You can say whatever you want about my post, although I won’t listen to a word you say so you will be wasting your time. When you call people names like that, all you do is sink to the level of preschoolers. That seems to be a common theme among left-wing extremists, since the facts are usually against them.

I got one response to the:

Because in a conflict like this, there is no middle group: if you actively oppose one side (Israel), you are helping the other side (Hamas), whether you admit it to yourself or not.

Nothing is ever truly black and white, everything is different shades of gray. Both the Jews and the Muslims hold claim to Israel. Just because the queen of England decided one day that the Jews needed there own country, that does not take away from the fact that that land was signed over to the muslims after the sacking of Jerusalem by Saladin. They both have claim to the land, both claims are sketchy and downright deplorable, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that they both have claim.

If you aren’t going to value old treaties like the one that signed Jerusalem over to Saladin empire, than we might as well forget about our constitution or forget about the marriage of Queen Isabella and King Fernadad. The only thing holding Spain together is a wedding vowel, and without it they are two different countries, Castile and Aragon.

We are a world of laws, and you can’t just prance around the world like the Queen of England did giving land to people that was not their land to begin with. You can’t leave old treaties in the book, then expect to just write over those treaties with your own.

This mindset that Hezbollah are terrorist is totally valid, and the Israel nation has all the right to defend themselves, what has been done is done, but the Muslims are within have the right to reclaim what was.

Unfortunately there are traitors in the top levels of all governments and religious institutions. In the news media the plight of the religious people in Israel is usually censored. There is never anything revealed regarding the Jewish folks who embrace the Torah as exemplified by the eight year old called Fiji. These people are ejected from their homes–forced to live in tents and who are the perpetrators? The government is. By the same token a few “Christian Fundamentalists” who do not demonstrate the love of the one they claim to follow are also exemplified as representing those who follow the Biblical principles. A true follower of Jesus/Yeshua (Hebrew name) are peacemakers and love their fellowman as Jesus taught, but are not as visible in these type of protests. Why? Possibly because many of these protestors are not sincere and many have been paid to create confusion and prejudice against Christians, Jews, Muslims. Yeshua/Jesus taught in Matthew 5 the opposite of what some of these so-called “Christian Right Wingers” represent. For example: “Blessed are the peacemakers because they shall be called sons of Elohim. Blessed are the compassionate, because they shal obtain compassion”,etc. This does not mean that Jesus came against the Commandments of God. Respect for all human beings was taught by him and he taught us by example. The ultimate choice is personal, but Messiah came to warn us and redeem us from demeaning ourselves and living a life of self-destruction. If religious institutions in the past and present have murdered those who did not go along, it was done against the teachings of Messiah Jesus/Yeshua and they will be accountable for misrepresenting Him.

visit egypt and visit israel and u will know who is the real terrorist , and BTW don’t get info from mass media trust me u get it from isreal and the only fool who can belive that :D

BTW whatever u see or watch , when i was a kid islam forced me to respect other religions , and And protect the people of the Book that on our land , i watch every american movie that’s talks about arab or islam , i think they wanna show us on the way that they like :D

u man Do not know anything about Islam or Muslims, catty and racist

Muhammed commands us always to resort to peace if the enemy wants, or surrendered

If I thought the one who blew himself up is a Muslim , then there are a reason ” insane ” , You do not know how to see your mother, your father or your brother die in front of your eyes , I do not think after that you will remain a good person, but would seek revenge

” Islam consider the one who kills himself is Infidel ”

so it’s not the islam is the reason , the reason that usa and israel and whatever driving those guys crazy to seek for thier revenge not the islam ,
    ” Islam consider the one who kills himself is Infidel ” it’s not a joke or a lie , it’s ” A ” ” B ” ” C ” of islam rules

cya in peace and i wish you don’t try that feeling

  362. 362u are the zombie on Oct 15, 2011 at 2:20 pm:

Anyone who has taken a 7th grade history class knows that Nazi Germany’s main goal in WWII was “lebensraum” or “living space”. That appears to be exactly what Israel is doing now with the ever expanding area occupied by Jewish settlers. That is why the protesters have compared Nazi Germany with Israel. They may also be comparing Israel to Nazi Germany because Israel (as well as the Untied States) decided NOT to be a part of the International Court of Justice. Following that decision, Israel has used multiple internationally illegal methods of waging war. I urge you all to read this MODERATE article, condemning both the obviously radical and militant Hamas, and the more subtly radical Israel. Crimes are committed by both sides, but the fact is, when the crimes are funded (by the US), perpetrated, and backed by a state government and by an entire nationality of people, they are far worse. The least all of you could do is admit that anti-Semetism is not the same as anti-Israel. There are plenty of Jews who believe that Palestine should have a state, I am one of them, and we are not radical.

  363. 363Brian on Nov 3, 2011 at 9:38 am:

This comment section is hilarious, being unable to amend the inconsistencies zombie has pointed out all the opposition can do is attempt to poorly psycho-analyze him, with each of them coming to a different conclusion; “narcissistic” “racist” “evil” if these accusations were true they still would not equal a refutation.

For the left-wing Israel along with capitalism and and big corporations are the common enemy uniting them, because even without being educated enough to form reasonable opinions they can still unite against the pure evil they believe they are perceiving in these entities.

I hardly see the constructive point of this site. Yes it feels nice to point out how incompetent some of the placards are but sooner or later Israel needs to have a peaceful resolution. For Jews and Palestinians alike there is a time to set aside your differences and come to some arrangement. The funny thing about religion is it occurs everywhere and is only a code for morals, customs and tradition. whoever you prey to lets hope you see the similarities in your neighbors as humankind has nice people wherever you go and we all just want the same thing really. A fair resolution that doesn’t involve explosives or moving the Palestinians into reservations like America’s solution to its native people. Hate to say it but Israel comes to the table holding most of the cards and if you want to get an acceptable solution to all parties your going to need to have a better understanding of each other. And negotiators who don’t have agenda’s. Israel deserves a state recognized by its neighbors. Hopefully one that accommodates all parties fairly.
