Yesterday I found this mysterious button on the street in Oakland:
“Allah Is Good. Allah Is Gay,” it says.
Hmmmmm. Who made this button, and for what purpose? And who would dare wear it in public? Are there out-of-the-closet gay Muslim activists in Oakland?

I googled “gay muslims” and got 36,000 hits. It’s not exactly earth-shattering news that there are some gay Muslims out there. They even have a blog: gaymuslims.wordpress.com (though it hasn’t been updated in a while).
And there are gay bars in Amsterdam and Paris, and presumably elsewhere, that have a mainly Arab/Muslim clientele.
