SF Protesters to Obama: Please Be a Dictator!

A teaser:

When Obama’s motorcade rocketed around San Francisco on Monday, very few locals even noticed his presence, and fewer still cared. The crowds awaiting him at each presidential fundraiser were by far the smallest I’d seen in over five years of covering his visits here. Ticket sales to at least one of the events were so sluggish that prices had to be lowered to fill the empty seats. Out in the street, rubberneckers and protesters had dwindled to the bare minimum. This is what happens when a hero disappoints: you don’t turn on him in anger, but rather just tune him out and move on to other interests.

Yet even with the small turnout, there was a theme amongst Obama’s protesters/supporters (supportesters?): They didn’t want him to change his political agenda — instead, they demanded that he assume dictatorial powers so that he could finally implement the radical plans with which they already agree. The message of the day was: Stop dilly-dallying around, Mr. President: Ignore the Constitution and just make The Revolution happen, as you promised!

That message would be disturbing enough all on its own, but it becomes much more disturbing when you suspect (as I do) that many of these pro-totalitarian protesters were astroturfed. In other words: Is the White House scripting/encouraging/guiding protesters on the left to beg him to become a dictator? So that later, he can explain, “I had no choice — the people demanded it!” Or is Obama simply telegraphing to his supporters that they should not be so disappointed when he throws in the towel and gives up even trying to achieve anything in his second term?

Let’s see what happened on Monday, and you can judge for yourself.

Obama has the classic San Fran sillies snowed, Zombie. Your theory #2 is the correct one…he will use the astroturf “demand of the people” to conduct executive orders and implement his radical leftist agenda, all the while claiming he is railing against these mysterious forces that prevent him from effectively governing.

The interesting thing about this particular stage of Obama’s presidency is that he’s lost steam, even among the fruity nutties. As you have documented, even in the most fervent liberal havens (like San Fran) there is little to no enthusiasm for his presence. I’ll be optimistic and say that he is ripe for potential impeachment and the Dems are in for a complete shellacking in a year, but my pessimistic side says there are nefarious forces at work…the shadow president is calling the shots and her lawyer minions are enacting evil as we speak.

For example, the EPA is implementing a decent number of new rules that essentially outlaw coal (not new news…Obama said he would try to do that) and it seems that Fannie and Freddie can call in loans when/if a homeowner/landowner decides to sign with an energy company so they can have rights to frack under their land.

Stuff is happening…quietly, illegally, and sadly for the sole purpose of totalitarian control. The useful idiots who support this dictator will be disposed of in the true revolution…as will those who dare to speak against him.

It’s also important to note here, that this is the guy who wants a “national civilian security force,” is purging commanders in the U.S. military of those who disagree with him politically, who may perhaps be the commanders who would not
    “fire on Americans.”

I’ve long been baffled at the keystone doom and bloomers. “It’ll cause an ecological disaster!”. It’s a 1,000 mile long pipeline. We’ve already got over 100,000 miles of pipelines in the USA. If they’re correct, shouldn’t we already be dealing with 100 ecological disasters? Or are they claiming that, while everything is OK with what we have already, adding 1% to what we have will cause disaster?

Thanks for the post Zombie. Beginning to wonder what happened to all of the hippies and protesters in San Francisco area. Awefully quiet! San Francisco is still clearly BHO’s ATM machine as you have so aptly documented.
The Obama administration clearly uses some of these protest groups and plays them like a fiddle. Like you stated, the so called “heckler” was only partially spontaneous and probably staged. Much like Medea Benjamin’s (Code Pinks) so called “heckling” incident in May at the National Defense University in May which was obviously staged and manipulated by the Obama administration.
Obviously the Code Pinkers and World Cant Wait bunch are not getting any traction or much public opinion swaying on the drone issue that nobody really cares about and really sort of pathetic effort on their part.
Keep up the good work and posts Zombie!

In 1947, Sen. Harley Kilgore (D-W.Va.) condemned a proposed constitutional amendment that would restrict presidents to two terms. “The executive’s effectiveness will be seriously impaired,” Kilgore argued on the Senate floor, “ as no one will obey and respect him if he knows that the executive cannot run again.”

I think the telling word here is obey. It’s clear that this is how Dems see governing.

  22. 22Scott on Dec 20, 2013 at 7:31 pm:

Seriously, Stephine? Obama can’t change a thing? How about instituting racism at the polls through Eric Holder (who dismissed the case) with documented PROOF of voter intimidation by the New Black Panthers? Or how about his 14 “verbal” changes to the ACA? What president has done such a thing in the past? How about lie to the American people about…well, just about everything? He’s done all of that and more. He’s turned a reckless and absolutely out of control EPA loose on the coal industry, for example. And he’s turned an “unAmerican” $10 trillion deficit into a $17 trillion deficit (and counting). He needed some help, there, from a compliant Congress, but he got ‘er done.

On the contrary, Stephine, Obama can and has changed many things, and all for the worse. He is the first anti-American president in the history of American presidents…and that I dare to say such a thing automatically makes me a racist, per his vitriolic and thoughtless supporters! There is a change right there…he’s the first black president (who is mixed race, not black) who can get away with anything BECAUSE of the color of his skin, NOT the content of his character!

Dividing the country, turning citizen against citizen, granting huge swaths of our society victim status…absolutely Obama has done this and more. He’s quite capable of changing a lot of things. He’s not finished, either.
