    Heard the verdict come in, watching the news as crowds gather.

    Only head mentions that people were also heading to SF to protest, that worries me since I have a friend in the SFPD.

    God willing, if there is a riot only the rioters get hurt.

    Glad I live 45 miles away.

    if in the heat of the moment, a moment more tense because the crowds will be larger and more violent than BART cops aced on New Years Day

    were I a cop, I’d call in sick the next 3 days

    choice is

    take a sick day and go fishing
    go to work and risk getting jailed for 14 years

    Notice none of the “mainstream” media has noted that there will be violence on the part of the leftists. These groups are LOOKING to cause trouble but yet nothing. No hand wringing over “society is crumbing” when its “leftists gone wild”. The silence in deafening.

    Of course, they are all still hoping some tea party grandma will be violent (or misspells a word on a sign).

    Note there could be hundreds of arrests. Like the riots against the Arizona law in various places. Hundreds were arrested at one riot alone. Or the untold stories of attacks against military recruiting stations. Note that not one tea party person has been arrested for anything, anywhere after thousands of rallies. Not one!

    But when it comes to the media its the tea party thats violent and dangerous to society, not these leftists who are actually violent. Thank you Zombie for doing the job the press isn’t doing.

    The problem here is that they planned the riot to take place late in the day. The people talking to incite the people to riot should be charged with causing the riot and be required to pay for all damages caused to the local businesses. Then maybe they will not cause another one. As long as people are not held accountable for the actions caused by thier words they will continue to cause more riots in the future. Maybe they will cause someone to die next time due thier actions. Hard to say.

    How does Zombie know the politics of the people who “planned” a riot? The leftists I know of showed up for a rally and a peaceful demonstration. The people who showed up to vandalize and loot were not taking political stances at all — they were just there to have a wild destructive street party for their own benefit, from all appearances.     These riots are so very political. Lefty groups have been planning this for months. Just look at the websites, flyers etc. This riot is a classic liberal planned riot. The kind of riot that have made living or operating a business in an American inner city impossible for most decent folks. This kind of nonsense needs to end and be ended NOW!

    These riots are NOT “non-political” by a longshot.

    1. It is exclusively either outright leftist groups or ethnic nationalists (who got their start in the 1960s with the leftists here) that have been planning these riots.

    2. Riots, have almost always been perpetrated by leftist groups or ethnic nationalists since the Roosevelt years.

    3. All anarchist movements but two are leftist in nature. The two which are not, anarcho-capitalism and individualist anarchism, have had no presence in the run-up to the riots, and there have been a LOT of anarchist movements involved in this.

    4. There is visual proof of communist and anarcho-communist involvement in the “Justice for Oscar Grant” movement (look at the pictures in the PajamasMedia link).

    These riots are as non-political as the Chicago riots in 1968.

    Of course they’re leftist but it is hardly a point worth mentioning; riots happening on the street, always in communities of lower socio-economic standing. However I believe the more relevant characteristic of these communities that would lead to their rioting is the latter trait. . .mainly that they are a little bit more poor and more desperate than people say, north of the golden gate. I’m no fan of the left by any means, but I don’t think it is appropriate to blame this nonsense on progressives any more than it would be to blame some CEO conservative ‘cooking the books’ on his ideology rather than his economic position.

    People are poor by choice for the most part. Sure there are the handicapped and insane but the lazy rule the day here. They can always “work” to get money you know. It’s an allergy but not a medical condition allergy.
    I was born in Oakland, served time in prison, have no degree yet am in the top 1% of earners in America all because I “work”. I work (a lot of hours)for myself (legally) as I am unemployable but I don’t sit and ponder ways to plunder and pillage like a low-life urban deadbeat. I get on with the unfairness of life and my own “handicap” and don’t consider anarchy as a way to get ahead. Dissent ? Sure ! I don’t agree with the entire nazicrat platform and the religion “thing” in the republican platform but that’s the way I see it.

    The Coalition to end Diabetic Marriage was made by a couple of well educated young men who wished to point out how ridiculous it is that same-sex marriage isn’t legal. It is an obvious parody of homophobia and the silly arguments people come up with to justify their hate.

    The group is even listed in the ‘Just for Fun’ category.
