Re #1 Ringo: No, I don’t have pictures of the other banners. They’re all supposed to be hypnotized sentiments about U.C. Berkeley’s indoctrination power, but only this one really struck me as “off” somehow.

Well, of course. The self-hating liberal “leadership” can’t just come right out and say exactly what they believe, which is “We despise you horrible privileged white people, and wish you’d go away or die because we need brown people around us to relieve our guilt. But to accomplish this we have to lower our standards for admittance, grading, behaviour, etc. because everyone knows they’re not as smart and tend to behave like animals!”

Because, ultimately, that’s what lies beneath the thin veneer of multiculturalism, racism.

Ok 3 things…

1) Welcome home, I was hopping beyond hope you went to the RNC but it does not seem to have come to pass.

2) I hope this picture is a sign that you were at Berkley taking pics of the tree sitters getting to boot.

3) If that sign was in a “conservative school” or put up by a right leaning group it would be flashed all over the world as proof the right is full of bigots and fear mongers, no matter how benign the message is.

As a guy who works at a student newspaper, I get people who say meaningless, wishy washy stuff like that a lot.
In my experience, it comes from me giving them kinda ludicrous prompts to start with.
“What do you feel you learned today at this beauty pageant/protest/conference?”
“Uh…it allows me to learn about other peoples cultures, and become an open minded thinker? I guess? I don’t know.”

If the ad men/the girl just said something like “become MORE open minded thinker” it would had worked a lot better.
