What is the reason for all of the negativity towards an act of free speech and expression? Dumpster Muffin and the other sitters love trees and nature. They’re not hurting anyone and its for an environmental cause. Anyone with that much passion to put themselves in extreme zones of discomfort for any cause is a rarity and should be applauded.

Just girdle the trees and they’ll die – case closed. It won’t affect their strength to physically support the weight of the nitwits in them but, in a few months, they’ll find themselves perched on top of a dead tree. How fitting! If these miscreants ACTUALLY cared about trees and other such green things, (as I aactually do), they’d be joining people like me to fight against this global warming alarmism SCAM that threatens to deprive all green things of something they need more of to make them grow greener, faster and stronger – CO2. Trees don’t hug energy efficient houses – they hug coal fired power stations and SUV’s …. It’s the truth – deal with it.

Police in any other district, any other state, any other country would never put up with something like this. The problem is you can’t reason with the “tree-sitters” because they were born and raised to think singular, uncompromising thoughts. Even if Berkeley were to plant a thousand more trees to make up for the 44 being cut down (excuse me if the number is incorrect, that’s the number I’ve been reading about), these people would never vacate those trees. It’s almost depressing society has degenerated to the point of “I’m right, you’re never right, if you say otherwise I’ll throw a tantrum”. Both sides of the political spectrum do it, but I’ve realized as of late that the Left is king of this.

I’ve always disagreed with how Reagan dealt with universities from ’66 to ’70, but honestly I have immense respect for the man to have held the educational system together in California during that time. The police cannot attack these people or do something that will risk their lives obviously, but really, they should be more forceful. For so much time to have passed too makes the police force, the university, and the city look laughable and will only fuel more of these idiotic forms of protest.

Grind poison Ivy to a pulp, and mix with water and brush killer. Load the cocktail into a heilo and dump it on the fine protesters. The tree dies, they get a long overdue bath, and get a chance to itch for a week or so.

Another option would be to use a caterpult and lob a few bowling ball sized rocks into the trees.

Get with the ASPCA, these nuts are illegally baiting squirrels.
