Just one little correction. I looked at the image of the stretcher that supposedly shows a hand. It's not: changing the gamma of the picture reveals that the image of the fingers is simply a strangely ragged pattern of tears in the canvas of the stretcher.

It's irrelevant to your main point, but I just wanted to let you know.

An aside: as the ambulance driver is interviewed by ITV on his sick bed, he shows no sign of pain during speaking as he certainly would if there was a freshly sutured wound under the bandage. I am sure that the bandages are merely props.
